what kind of clearance papers?

mine is canadian Subaru 2014 forester with 180k kms on it, do i need to change the speedometer with miles dominanat, it shows miles per hour in a small circle inside. does anyone know if i can simply register and drive a car with michigan places and licence without actually importing the car
