  1. Thanks. Makes sense, I think I was just surprised to walk out with nothing to say it was approved!
  2. Just thought I would give a bit of a review as I found this thread so useful. We had our interview yesterday at the London embassy and thankfully approved, no issues. When inside the embassy it was very straightforward, I would add though that getting in was a bit hectic. You need to ignore the queues and go to the front and say you are there for a Green card interview. You will then go straight in. Take all the documents requested, however we didn’t get asked for any of our financial documents just basic civil ones. A question I do have for those who have been approved, how long did it take for you to get some sort of tracking number of your passport being returned? I can log into our courier service but can’t see anything like a tracking service. Any questions, please ask!
  3. Hello all, After our Green card interview yesterday at the London embassy, we were approved! In the excitement and relief we forgot to ask really what happens now. We signed up for courier service home delivery, and await my passport back from the embassy. I was wondering if there is any way of logging in and able to track this? I am able to login to our courier service but don’t see anywhere where it may say. I appreciate it was only yesterday, how long after the interview did you get any correspondence or tracking numbers? Or do we just sit and wait for it to arrive? thank you
  4. I wasn’t planning to re upload our new taxes to CEAC. Just take and present them to officer at interview if requested.
  5. For those who have interviews mid/late March. Have you filed your 2023 taxes? we hoping to have our interview early mid/April. My wife and my father in law are my sponsors and my wife has not yet filed her 2023 taxes. They do need to be filed until April 15th in the USA. Have you filed your most recent taxes? NVC DQ us on 2022 taxes not 2023. Not sure whether we should file now and just take the paperwork to the interview, however NVC wouldn’t have seen them.
  6. Hello all, My wife the USC has filed our I30 which has been approved. We have subsequently gone to NVC and have been DQ. Waiting for our interview at London. We are anticipating our interview to be early/mid April. My wife is my sponsor along with her father who is my joint sponsor. Our question… You have to file your 2023 taxes by April 15 in the USA. Do we file our taxes now and just take our paperwork to the embassy with us (Which the NVC wouldn’t have seen) or leave it and file after our interview? Thanks
  7. What letter did you take in place of the IL letter? I need a letter with my case number but cannot find an actual letter with it on
  8. Were you DQ 18th Jan or December. As previously I think you said Dec? Congrats either way! We were DQ Jan 17th and we haven’t received our letter so guessing we just missed out!
  9. I am assuming no DQ letters yet? We were DQ Jan 17th which feels like we still have quite a wait considering Dec DQ haven't had their letters yet!
  10. I was just reading back on this thread from around this time last year and noted quite a few people scheduled their medicals after DQ but before IL received. Is this something that can be done, I was under the impression you had to wait for IL. Does anyone know if there is potential of booking your medical too early?
  11. I thought I would post our timeline as I found it super useful from others: Submitted 12th Jan 2023 (Nebraska transferred to California) Approved 11th Dec 2023 NVC welcome letter 8th Jan 2024 Docs submitted 11th Jan 2024 Documentarily Qualified 17th Jan 2024 The welcome letter took a lot longer than NVC published with their processing dates, but our documents being reviewed was quicker.
  12. Hello everyone, CR1 - DQ today! I am reading about certain cut offs for IL etc. Can anyone shed some light as to how the IL system works? If you haven't heard by a certain date do you know you wont be that month? Thank you for any help, James
  13. Ah, makes me feel a little more at ease as it seemed everyone around my date had. Fingers crossed for us both it is today!
  14. We filed January 12th and got our approval exactly 11 months to the day also! Ours was sent to NVC on December 15th, hoping to get our welcome letter soon! Anyone going NVC route had their welcome letter yet?
  15. Thanks, yeah I appreciate we need to wait. Before posting on here I did put an inquiry to NVC who advised they have not received our petition, although it was sent from USCIS on the 15th. I can understand them saying it is in line to be entered but for them to have not received it concerns me as I assumed it was all electronic. I will wait!
  16. So does that make me correct in thinking, that within reason you can expect when USCIS sent our petition to be the date we are looking out for on NVC processing times?
  17. I agree. If it isn’t electronic then their processing times seem redundant as you have no idea when it actually got there!
  18. Hello all, Our I30 approval - December 12th USCIS sent to NVC - December 15th. NVC currently working on cases ‘received’ on the 14th of December. My question… Is the USCiS transfer electronic and instant so NVC received it on the 15th also and ours will be entered into the database soon. Or is there now a delay in shipping and mail etc so ours won’t be received for a while? I cannot find any definitive answer. Thank you
  19. No, as my wife who is the American Citizen currently lives with me in the U.K
  20. Thank you. Do NVC email, or do they also mail out?
  21. Hello, Our I30 got approved today! 11 months exactly. My question is where and how does the approval notice get sent? Is it mailed or emailed. I seem to be having some issues logging into my online USICS account at present, the authorization code it sends to your email address is not coming through. I know it has been approved from checking our receipt number. Thank you
  22. Thank you. I did live in the USA for 2 years within the last 10 years on a previous Green Card, however I believe I am right in saying you do not need a police certificate for time spent in the USA?
