I got cleared in a month exactly but they requested an extra document that I couldn't provide, and I had to try everything possible to make sure they know i am not able to provide it. I got my visa 8 months after I got the DS-5535.

Hello, hope you are doing well. I have got my visa on December 28th and moved December 31st to USA. I am finally with my husband and my son. Sorry for not updating here I was busy so much with life, I didn't log in for months.

I have sent my passport in September till now they didn't send me the passport back. I was wishing to enjoy the holiday with hubby but it is redio silence from their end.

We tried to contact them, we filled all their forms and they said they will reach to the Consulate for us. 2 weeks has passed we haven't heard from them.

Hello guys, we are trying to reach a senator or a congressman, can you reach multiple for my husband state or should we reach only one? Anybody reached them, what was your experience ? Thanks

Guys it is been 8 weeks since I sent my passport. Should my husband reach a senator or a state representative? Do you think that will make any change. Please share your experiences. Thanks

I gotchu , sorry I thought he is your husband. It is good to be on the safe side. I have decided to email them every 10 days too. Hopefully they will answer is soon. I noticed they are not working much since August.

Yes, it is sad when they punish you for something out of your hand. I born in middle East too, I guess this was a big factor for me being placed on Ds5535.
