  1. Congrats, @gointransatlantic! Thanks for sharing this update, @NorthnerSouth98. Excellent, @Mnaz! Way to go! Congrats, @Ramirez65, and of course you did, so did I. 🤣 I had similar results, it was screwy the first 24 hours or so. Glad to hear it, @philharmonic! Outstanding news, @davidtech! Yes, I'm glad that part is behind us now, also! Very nice, @Mern V! I was also able to go to the Philippines late last year and able to celebrate our anniversary together. (edits for syntax and grammar)
  2. Timeline thus far: 2022-02-05: PD and AR1 2022-07-16: sent unsolicited evidence 2022-07-19: sent more unsolicited evidence 2023-02-17: AR2 2023-02-17: "I-130 Approval" in docs tab 2023-02-21: "Case Approved" on status tab. 2023-02-22: NOA2 email from USCIS. 2023-02-23: Approval snail mail from USCIS. 2023-02-24: "Case sent [...]" on status tab. 2023-02-25: NVC welcome email received 2023-02-25: $120 AOS fee paid, processing 2023-02-25: $325 IV fee paid, processing 2023-02-28: payments cleared bank 2023-03-01: "PAID" on NVC 2023-03-01: began gathering and uploading documents 2023-03-07: submitted for review Note about my AOS, I am seeking to qualify with my VA benefits. This is non-taxable income, and there are no W2s associated with it. As such, I submitted my DD-214, a VA verification of benefits letter, and over 24 of the most recent contiguous months of bank statements showing direct deposit. My wife needed a few more days to gather documents because of the name change and having to go on a wild goose chase. The Philippine government offices have been exactly as efficient as we have come to expect over the course of our journey. You may make your on inferences. So now we are waiting for DQ or RFE from NVC.
  3. My observation is that the AR1 "actively reviewing" might be better stated as, "actively queuing". Good luck. I understand being discouraged, but we're all rooting for you! Git 'er done! 👏📣
  4. I'm not sure, but you may be into the time range where they will accept inquiry. Another thing, it is possible that your case changed service centers without you being notified. Based on my observation, it's fairly common. My case started out at Texas Service Center. I made an inquiry through 'Emma' 12 months after the PD and found it was transferred to Potomac Service Center immediately after arriving at Texas Service Center.
  5. It beats the alternative. Mine was 377 days after PD. I think @Ramirez65 also came in at 377 or 378 days after PD. I am curious what yours will be, @davidtech.
  6. Up-for-some-cake is my middle name. This is outstanding news! My first reaction was also disbelief. Actually I was hoping you didn't screw up your petition and miss the March 1 prediction, and then hunt me down. Thanks for the message. I'm so happy for you and husband. And I'm so glad i was able to share hope. Now, as for the cake. You can mail it to: Bill Lumbergh ℅ Initech, TPS Reports Division 8 Bosses Way
  7. Then I've misunderstood that dynamic of your post. However, I believe the last paragraph is still suitable:
  8. Aside from successfully logging in to USCIS to check the Documents tab, another option is to wait for the snail mail. As far as I know, the 2FA (two-factor authentication) is TOTP (time-based one-time password). That code changes every 30 seconds. If it was me, i'd focus on getting the login issues sorted out. The results will eventually be visible with only the case number, and will eventually be mailed. But my experience is that the documents tab is the leading indicator. HTH
  9. Everybody needs a little luck, but I admire your zeal! Remember, we're the lucky ones. Some never get the benefit of digging deep for the patience required. And others wait far longer than us.
  10. Elementary! 🤣 I believe this is your week, my friend! Good luck!
  11. Fortunately this did not occur in my case.
  12. 🤣🤣 Tell your friend I said, "Absolutely. It's science."
  13. Thank you, that is very kind of you to say. And likewise wishes on your case. I also understand the transaction is processed through ACH, and fully anticipate the associated delay.
  14. I was mindful of what I deem to be a suitable request to expedite. I am also not encouraging people to submit an unsuitable request. I don't think I could be the ideal arbiter for their individual circumstances, and people should use their own discretion. I am also aware of the thread tracking NVC processing times. That notwithstanding, I shared this so others could avail of this information. I think the reference is well-placed in this thread, at this time.
  15. As much of the process as possible. The fees are paid, and indicated on NVC as "IN PROCESS". Based on my understanding of the recommendation, it was suitable to submit the request now.
  16. I sent an expedite request and received this automated reply: Good luck.
  17. For those getting started with NVC, I wanted to share a post on an adjacent thread: You might want to read back a bit to see if this is appropriate for your case. Hope this helps.
  18. Good info. I also experienced the website crashing while trying to pay. After going for a walk, I tried again and it went through. I am eager for the payment to be fully processed so we can proceed.
  19. I believe it matters very much. Battles are won within... ... and parties are won with cake 🎂🤣
  20. 2023-02-25: NVC welcome email received 2023-02-25: $120 AOS fee paid, processing 2023-02-25: $325 IV fee paid, processing Waiting for payments to process before I can submit AOS / IV documents.
  21. The victor does not fight. The victor has already won. And I'm holding you to bringing enough cake and ice cream for the whole class 🎂🍨
  22. Lately, everyday, I'm hoping for 2 emails: 1) obviously, the NVC welcome letter, 2) a notification from VJ that you posted about your I-130 approval. At this point, I'll be more excited to hear about news on your case. 5 days, 10 days, whatever--is nothing compared to the USCIS wait. It sucks. So I'm definitely rooting for you!
  23. Have not received the welcome letter from NVC yet, but there is a minor update. The USCIS Case Status now reads, "Case was sent to the Department of State". 2022-02-05: PD and AR1 2022-07-16: sent unsolicited evidence 2022-07-19: sent more unsolicited evidence 2022-02-17: AR2 2022-02-17: "I-130 Approval" in docs tab 2022-02-21: "Case Approved" on status tab. 2022-02-22: NOA2 email from USCIS. 2022-02-23: Approval snail mail from USCIS. 2022-02-24: "Case sent [...]" on status tab. I will continue to update.
  24. Hi, I have not received the email from NVC yet, but here's my timeline so you can compare notes; 2022-02-05 : PD / NOA1 / AR1 2023-02-17 : AR2 (also an "I-130 Approval" in Documents tab) 2022-02-20 : "Case approved" on status page. 2022-02-22 : "We have taken an action on your case" email from USCIS (I just received this a few minutes ago.) Have not received an email from NVC yet. I estimate in the next week or so, based on other posts. Hope this info helps.
  25. I'm no immigration lawyer, but I think it would be an effective use of the time while you wait. I'd wager that the NVC--and more importantly the embassy abroad responsible for issuing the visa--would understand a circumstance like this. I imagine it is common. US passports are good for 10 or 15 years, i think.. so the odds that a passport expires within 1 year are 1/10 or 1/15. If it was me, I would go ahead and start it sooner, rather than later. We have an appointment for my wife to get her Philippine passport updated with her married last name. Also, our case just received NOA2 from USCIS. So, it's getting close to crunch time. Just my thinking. YMMV.
