  1. Hey, just curious, what was your port of entry, and how long did it take you to get through immigration? I'm keeping my eye on plane tickets, and was hoping a 4.5 hour layover between port of entry and next flight was in the realm of feasibility.
  2. Congrats, guys. Less than 24 hours and we hope to post a similar report.
  3. Likewise, my friend! We're headed to Manila in about 11 hours. We were able to book the same Airbnb as we did for the medical appointment -- a home away from "home away from home", if you will.
  4. Congrats! My wife's interview is on Wednesday. So, i can't say. But i heard it was only a few weeks before it arrives. I am, of course, curious what your experience will be. Welcome to the USA. We're looking forward to being home soon, too.
  5. Just a thought, based on the "Ready" status page, I wonder if "Case Created" date is the order in which they are readying cases.
  6. Well, this trend seems to be supported by another data point... More cases went "Ready" today, including ours. Just in time, too. My wife's interview is Wednesday, July 12.
  7. That's big government for ya. We all feel your pain, my friend. No worries, another office/committee/agency to the rescue!
  8. FYI, here is our timeline so far. Those still waiting can compare notes. Dates are +/- 16 hours. ( multiple timezones + laziness = a little sloppy ) date event(s) 2022/02/05 USCIS NOA1 and PD 2023/02/17 USCIS NOA2 2023/02/25 NVC case created, fees paid 2023/03/07 NVC docs submitted 2023/03/22 NVC posted case FE notes, additional evidence submitted 2023/04/10 NVC DQ 2023/06/26 NVC auto-expedited (as seen in CEAC messages) 2023/06/30 NVC emailed "Immigration visa case has been expedited" 2023/07/01 Able to schedule via ustraveldocs.com/ph, while case "In Transit" 2023/07/07 Case still showing as "In Transit" 2023/07/12 (tentative) IV interview date
  9. Good luck to you guys. We are in Laguna province, so a trip to Manila requires a bit of planning and coordination. I'm also considering waiting over the weekend to see what happens. The more I think about it, the more I think it would be fine to reschedule for an August appointment, then when the case is legitimately "ready", reschedule sooner. When i looked a few hours ago, there were still available appointments next week, so the risk at this point seems fairly low.
  10. Wow! Congrats! What a long time to wait, so i know this is super exciting. Good luck on the next part. Hopefully it goes much much faster for you!
  11. My wife says SLEC told her "3 to 5 days" for them to transfer the electronic file in the case of IR1/CR1. The K1 visa beneficiaries were given a physical medical file/folder and compact disc. I assume that can be immediate.
  12. Based on a couple of applicants who had their visa interviews already while status still showed as "In Transit", the interviewing officer was not able to conduct the interview. My understanding is that the interviewer was not able to pull up the case, and asked if it was still at NVC. I've heard of a few cases that scheduled while "In Transit", and became "Ready" before the interview. (Those cases also happened to be approved after the interview, without trouble.) I am the American petitioner, so my wonderful and beautiful Filipina wife is the one who is relaying the mostly-Taglish FB chat to me. This is my current understanding of the situation, and I wanted to share this info here. I'm not sure if the ones who were unable to interview were able to easily reschedule. I'm waiting for info on that. We have a schedule for July 12, and are still "In Transit". We received the auto-expedite in the same June 26 batch as many others did.
  13. Well, you might be overthinking it, but I'm just some guy on the internet with an opinion. 🤣 An immigration lawyer could probably give you better, actionable direction and put things into perspective.
  14. I respect the principles. Was just chatting with my wife... she showed me her original vax card. Entirely handwritten data. No id number, just a lot number. (And, yes, she legitimately got the jab.) She uploaded a picture of it to the municipality. From there, she was able to print the official proof with a QR code. We were just saying to each other, if we were in a similar situation, we would retry the IR visa, having fixed the problem. Some principles come before other principles. No judgment! God bless you guys!
  15. I've heard that pursuing alternate visa types shows "immigrant intent," and may weaken the case for the visa being applied for. My wife just had her SLEC day 1 today. She says they only requested her municipal vax card. She said they wanted the proof that contained the vax plus the booster. She brought the VaxCertPH but they did not use it since the municipal record was more complete. So, maybe this info, might help determine where to get the required documents. Many Filipinos don't have shot records. And sometimes records exist when they previously didn't. Record keeping isn't like what it is in the US.
  16. I actually wish you were right. It would have been a feat of cooperation! Sadly, I believe it is more likely that few legislative branch electees understood the problem. These offices may receive thousands of correspondence weekly; at that scale, details get missed. A motive of targeted, malicious intent is not clear to me, and discussion about that would probably be outside the scope of this forum, insomuch where it wouldn't actually help petitioners and applicants. If there was a clear instance of malfeasance, i think it would be fair to belabor it, to the aid of forum members.
  17. I'm more inclined to believe that it was an oversight that went unnoticed. Nobody died. Nobody is getting fired. They'll fix it just in time to quell to the next dumpster fire. 🤣
  18. I'll just say, I can confirm it is possible to schedule before the status shows as "ready".
  19. It seems new appointment slots are added AS cases become ready. While it may be true that appointments slots are "going fast", new appointment slots seem to be coming online just as fast. Here is a screenshot. Last night's post is on the LEFT and just now is on the RIGHT. You can see that more slots have become available.
  20. Even though CEAC still says "In Transit", I am now able to schedule. (We're holding off scheduling until we get the "all clear" from medical next week. I'm not eager to make this process any more complicated trying to reschedule a visa interview!)
  21. @top_secret may be able to provide some insight as to how long NVC/USEM churned through the last batch. But certainly I hope they keep things moving!
