  1. Girl yeah one of my good girlfriends is 7th Day so I found out some dos and dont's but I only been to a church service like twice...I can imagine how you felt...all eyes were on you huh!

    LOL@ Cheeta print jacket

The entire church probably is still praying for me. Not to mention it was the first time I met his mother

I'm far from a hoochie momma but I felt like the one the entire trip. I packed halter tops and capris and got stared at teh entire trip.

She gave me theat cheeta print jacket on purpose....to be funny. I'm sure she had a black or white one. Damien thought I was going to flip but I wore it away. Oh...she said it's the one I can fit. Mind you, she's a turkey sandwhich away from my weight. My boobs are just bigger.

Hey Philly - sun and sugarcane was good - weather was good, although cooler than usual - the surf was ROUGH and the cops were corrupt - but he quickly found out he was dealing with the wrong one, lol - Other than that, a pretty good trip.

Hi Shem, thanks! Happy anniversary and how are you feeling?

    Thanks. So far...so good.

Unique, Wood '5th Wedding Anniversary' Gifts

There are many websites that go into the history of wedding anniversary gifts, but it appears it all began in Germany for the 25th & 50th anniversaries - then the next to come about was our favorite - the Fifth (5th) Anniversary - Gifts of Wood.

  2. Oh yeah, they're not too big on jewelry at all. Even wedding bands are not worn by some of the members.

Can I tell you how Damien set me up???? We visited his mother in Aruba a years ago. She demanded we go to church with her. Damien was raised Seventh Day Adventist so I asked him what should I wear. He said wear whatever I wear here. My church here is pretty causal. Well, I should have known better but decided to wear a long sun dress...mind it was 90+ degrees. My dress was black and white. I forgot my blazer so I told her I didn't feel comfortable going so she bought him a cheeteh print jacket to wear over my dress  Plus I didn't realize how the dress had a keyhole so a little cleavage was showing.

I had no idea you were suppose to wear stockings (not panty hose) or jewerly. So here I am sitting in church with a black and white sundress with a cheeteh print jacket with high heel strapping sandals with my hot pink toe nails showing. Plus my big silver earrings and bracelts and my hair was cornrowed up in a genie looking pontytail to the side  Boy - those women gave me the most evils looks because their men kept staring at me. And the little girls wanted to sit by me..it's funny now but not at the time

  3. When we got to the "Application Support Center" for the biometrics, the lady who checks you in had us talk to the site supervisor. We had to get her "ok" to have the biometrics done earlier than our appointment date. Fortunately, they weren't too busy and she let us do it.

They were on #410 when we go #413. Why was there still a 30 minute wait?? Anyway, I'm still happy we got it done today, so I avoided taking time off from work.

    That's great Nat

  4. Does anyone know the price difference? Damien just went to the medical and got two shots without his vaccination record. He didn't require all those other shots. I would have been upset if he would gotten all those unnecessary vaccinations...but that's just me.

tell me bout it... mi man fraid a jook

    poor honey :(

That's why I want to see a comparison one day. It wasn't worth it to us for him to take an extra day off work and lose money...sometimes you have to weigh your options. Just pay for what you need and keep it moving....just my 2 cents.

  5. You need to get him to go to his own doctor for the vaccinations he needs. They will be cheaper there. He needs proof he's had them

Echo that. It was a lot cheaper for us that way, too.

Or he could even find a clinic that's cheaper than his doctor.

Since we'd gotten so many vaccinations in advance, on the day of the medical, Steven just needed 2 shots (both were the 2nd in a series) and we didn't have to pay much.

  6. Lord, I thank you for the strength you have given me to get through these past few months.

Please stay with me Lord, we are almost there!!! (L)

    YARDIES HEAR THIS:

    Good day:

We received your fax today and updated your fiance’s case. We have scheduled Mr. XXXX for a visa interview on January 14, 2010, at 9:30 a.m., which is the earliest available date. We mailed an appointment letter to Mr. XXXXX today. Attached is a copy of the appointment letter. You need not worry about the petition expiring on December 19, because all fiancé visa petitions are automatically revalidated for a further four months if their expiry date is reached before the visa is issued.

  7. Hi Yardies does anyone have any special holiday plans? We are spending Christmas in New York this year. Its going to be a blast.

on a side note: I will finally start christmas shopping today....Yay

We are not doing anything special this year...just going to Grandma's for dinner. In a few weeks...for our annviersary, we're going on a short cruise so money is limited this year.

    Have fun in New York.

  8. One you marry the JA citizen, you can ALWAYS go in the nationals line. You don't need to apply for any kind of citizenship for that. He doesn't even have to be with you.

Then what proof do you have that you're married to a JA citizen, if he isn't even with you?

You don't need any proof. We've travelled back to JA plenty times and never had an issue. The few times I went without him, I just stood in non-citizenship line with my friends.

    Good morning.

  9. Thanks Dada it will be nice to be there for Christmas too...It isn't that I didn't want to go but as they say timing is everything. My brothers have been torn about going to and really can't make it because one is in Iraq and the other one lives in Germany.

Oh Dills I knew it had nothing to do with being busy. I know how hard it is to drop everything especially when fifty million things are going on and especially with kids and work. I’m just glad that somehow you made it work so you could get on the road. I’m wishing nothing but the best for him but just in case.. Well you know….

So is the whole family in the car with you?

    yep ROAD TRIP!!!!

Thanks Dada I am hoping for the best too.

Have a safe trip. Keep us posted.
