Do you have any update on your parents case?

Tracking passport changed to “Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery”, however CEAC is still in Refused. Have mixed feelings LOL.

My “case last updated” was updated today after four business days of nothing but I’m still in “Refused”. Hopefully a good sign. 🤞

I wasn't issued a 221g and I still have yet to receive an email requesting anything. I was approved at the interview but am now in "Refused" and case hasn't been updated since Thursday. Please update when something changes in your case!

Thank you. Long shot question but is there any particular reason why they put it in Refused instead of keeping it in AP?

I saw other posts about people that were given 221g’s, etc., going from “Refused” to “AP” or other people going from Ready -> “Refused”, however mine is a bit different and I was curious if anyone has more insight into what’s going on. I had my interview on Thursday, May 6 in Santo Domingo for a F2A/FX2 visa. Interview was a breeze and the CO was super friendly, he approved me only giving me a white sheet that said my visa was conditionally approved. Afterwards I kept up with my case status frequently and the timeline was: After interview: AP Morning of Friday, May 7: Ready Afternoon of Friday, May 7: AP Monday, May 8: Stayed AP (case updated date was updated) Afternoon of Wednesday, May 10: Refused I have not received anything from the consulate and I’m a bit stressed out now. Does anyone know anything about a case going from AP to refused? Thank you for your time.

I was taken to the US as a child and overstayed a visa. I left the US before turning 18 and 1/2 to not accrue any unlawful status.

I am applying as an unmarried child of a lawful permanent resident (F2A), I am now older than 21 but I’ve been assured that I still qualify under CSPA. I still can’t wrap my head around it and wanted more clarification so I was hoping someone who knows more than me could clear somethings up for me. From what I understand CSPA requires the applicant to “seek” to acquire within one year of a visa being available. I have two questions regarding this: 1. Is the visa available for “sought to acquire” when it’s current on filing date chart or final action date chart? 2. Within one year of my visa being current on the filing date (as well as final action date), I ill advisedly applied for a I-485 adjustment of status. Unfortunately, I was denied after the interview because I did not have status at the time of the filing. So I left the US and started consular processing immediately (within 1 year of my final action date being current, but over 1 year of my filing date being current). Technically, I “sought to acquire” within the one year but that application didn’t work out and I needed to start consular processing (I-824) more than one year after my date was current on the filing date chart. Even though my I-485 application was denied, would that still satisfy the “sought to acquire” requirement? If the answer to question 1 is the final action date, then my I-824 would qualify. Hello all, I have a relative who is applying for an F2A visa (Unmarried child of permanent resident under 21). Their priority date is current and everything is good to go, however they were 19 when they got documentarily qualified and have been waiting for an interview for three years, and are now 22. I've heard mixed responses, but my question simply is: if you're documentarily qualified before you turn 21, do you age out? Thanks so much.
