  1. No I am not US citizen. We were planning to have my wife cross US border with baby after baby is born and make baby LPR right away. If my wife does not get LPR before baby is born how the baby is supposed to stay alone in Canada while both of us live in US?
  2. Shipping to Montreal office was covered by US embassy. I just had to drop the passport off at Canada Post. They did provide me with tracking number and it reached 2 days late. Beside that I saw update being made on our case two times after passport was received by them. Status is still refused. Will there be any issue if baby is delivered before IV is issued?
  3. My wife had interview at Montreal Embassy end of this March. Officer said everything looks good and took her Canadian passport to issue IV. As we were leaving Montreal we received an email to submit her Indian passport with US visitor visa on it. We mailed the passport through Canada Post next day. Its been around three weeks and the status is still "Refused". When should we expect IV to be issued? PS: We are expecting with delivery date in early July. We are worried about if IV is issued after this date then it will create some issues as baby is not part of the original petition.
  4. As per this link for F2A category they are scheduling interview for people with DQ April 2021. https://ca.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/consular-operations-updates/ "most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in April 2021; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in January 2021."
  5. She already has contacts in New York and should not be hard to get an offer.
  6. My wife is not entering US. I am travelling to US every week for work.
  7. My wife is Canadian Citizen and has degree in profession in which TN visa can be granted. I (LPR) has petitioned her (F2A). We both are living in Canada right now (I have reentry permit). Her salary in Canada is subpar and looking for better pay. Would it be possible for her to apply for TN visa without jeopardizing her F2A process? Her priority date was current till last month till it got retrogressed to 08July17. Any inputs will be appreciated.
  8. My PD was current earlier this year. In August 2023 Final Action date retrogressed to 08OCT17. From Visa Bulletin page it looks like Final Action date will move forward in next fiscal year. D. FAMILY-SPONSORED SECOND PREFERENCE AVAILABILITY In the April 2023 Visa Bulletin, it was necessary to establish a final action date in the F2A category and Item D of the July 2023 Visa Bulletin warned of the strong possibility of retrogression as early as August. Number use has remained steady, and it has become necessary to retrogress the final action date to keep number use within the FY-2023 annual limit. F2A numbers exempt from per-country limits are available to applicants from all countries with priority dates earlier than 01SEP16. F2A numbers subject to per-country limits are available to applicants chargeable to all countries except Mexico, with priority dates beginning 01SEP16 and earlier than 08OCT17. All F2A numbers provided for Mexico are exempt from the per-country limit. Additionally, number use in the F2B category has been steady throughout the fiscal year, and it may become necessary to retrogress the final action dates for Rest of World countries, India, and China in September to keep number use within the FY-2023 annual limit. These situations will be continually monitored, and any necessary adjustments will be made accordingly.
  9. VISA CLASS: F21 YOUR CASE IS CURRENTLY AT: NVC FOREIGN STATE OF CHARGEABILITY: INDIA INTERVIEW LOCATION: MONTREAL PRIORITY DATE: 06-MAY-2019 Documentarily Qualified: 06-JULY-2022 Does anyone know if current Retrogression in F2A category will affect my case? 10. Thanks Mike. Do you know which country (US or Canada) would be better when it comes to giving birth? In Canada we have universal health care so there is no cost. In US I will have to depend on my employer's insurance. Is there any other factor I should consider?
  11. thank you. Do we have to declare if she gets pregnant.
  12. I have applied for i-130 for my wife who is currently living in Canada. We have submitted financial and civil documents on NVC portal. Current status shows as "Accepted". Is this the final state or it should be "Completed"? Screenshot attached
  13. We were actually planning for this August as she is getting close to 30. What are the issue that might come up if she gets pregnant.
