We just got an email bumping our interview date from Jan 30 to Jan 12!!! Confirmed that with the consulate, and called to reschedule the medical exam to be done in time. Holy cow y'all, I'm shaking!

I can't help with the question about scheduling, but you should have copies of all your docs; they will review and keep the copies, and return the originals, from what I understand.

Well, husband went to a temp agency yesterday and starts a new job on Monday at 12am - working 12a-8:30a in a manufacturing plant. It will at least get him through the next couple months, until he can be here.

Oh, at this point, I don't even bother checking anything anymore. I look at my email morning and night, and I'm just waiting. Hubby has resigned himself to the fact that he will still be in Canada until January at best, or even February, and is looking for another job. He was hoping to make it through just doing Uber, but it's not working, so he is going back to finding hourly work.

I thought ILs didn't go out til the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday. I wouldn't complain if I got one right this second lol But we were DQd in September. Hopefully we will be in this batch!

Anyone else notice that when they "updated" the Consular Operations page, they didn't really update it? It says last update was October 25, but the scheduling status is the same as it was a month prior...

Oh for Pete's sake - how can they possibly still be taking this long to work on scheduling cases from JUNE....? Its been that way since AUGUST!?

We were also optimistic we would be together at Christmas, but it looks like it's not meant to be. Can't help but be angry at the lack of transparency in this process.

We are in the same boat - hubby in Canada, daughter and I in NY. This will be our fifth Christmas apart, third since our marriage and second since sending in our I-130. It's frustrating for sure.

I understand everyone getting to enjoy the holiday, but this is ridiculous - we want to spend the holidays with our families, too. Those at the consulate don't get to claim the whole daggone month to themselves.

God I hope not. My husband is already mentally struggling, and really despondent at this point. I don't want to have to tell him he is going to be in a #######-shoot for another three months minimum...
