  1. Here it is: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M-yzv-P3-OLRkCgRERL2T4_CynWVv4TW/edit I figured I'd post it here in case others need help with how to write their letter etc. Just make sure to comb thru it and edit any of the specifics for your situation.
  2. Not at all! I'll send it over to you. Yes, it was very fast, I was surprised and very happy. I have my green card, social and everything is good now. I'm sorry this happened to you too - and best of luck to you in a speedy turn around!
  3. Absolutely ☺️ I was thinking of making my letter to USCIS with the 290 B a google doc for people to look at. I’ll link it in my profile once I do. ☺️ thank you!
  4. I got the 485 approval notice online this morning!!!…… 🤯on a Sunday! Think we are done for now! APPROVED!
  5. As of yesterday, my case was reopened in the notice they said they will send me a notice in writing of their decision. Now, how long is that going to take you think? Also, got my driver license it’s been a good news week.
  6. Thanks so much for your kind words of encouragement and for the advice.
  7. I agree - however I very much doubt that could happen. It's been 5 months. I also have limited time to respond to them and I need to make sure everything gets to USCIS. I sent it all out today. The congressman's office might help. I got the ball rolling on that too. Wish me luck
  8. Its already in there! I realize that now. This is what I get for trying to do everything exactly as they say. No - the person I spoke to was a representative. Before, I couldn't even speak to a live person at USCIS - the AI bot would hang up on me. It's insane trying to speak to anyone there. I doubt they would be able to help. I imagine my medical packet sitting in a huge pile of stamped letters and envelopes. I know Trust me, we are upset at the unfairness of it all. I will, thank you. And thank you to all with suggestions and comments and well wishes. I am going to pick up my "new" medical tomorrow and send everything away. Just hope my job will take me back without much of a fuss.
  9. Thanks. I agree with you on what you said - I definitely feel a certain way about paying a fee to correct their mistake. But I just want it to be over. Thanks everyone. I appreciate the community's response. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do. The weirdest thing is - I screen shot the USCIS website a week before this current notice stating they had received evidence and were reviewing it. Then a week later they say they received nothing? Crazy.... When I called them, they never acknowledged anything I said about that.
  10. I figured! Government! But, what I mean is - they say they treat each one separately. If I choose that option to file both, is it $675 or double that? Ty
  11. Thank you so much. Have been absolutely gutted this past week. I will do everything you mentioned above - I am certified mailing the 290B this Wednesday once I pick up the brand new medical envelope, which I will send in on top of the old one as a part of the evidence. I was confused as whether or not to choose one or BOTH options (re-open/re-consider). I understand what you're saying on how it qualifies as both, so I'm glad you confirmed that for me. But does that mean I need to pay $675 for each or is that for the one filing fee? Thanks in advance for your help.
  12. Yes my spouse is a USC. The attorney said we didn't need him - unless we wanted to pay someone to fill out the form for us. I have all the evidence and I even got a NEW medical to submit. So, I'm heartbroken about my job. Whether they are right or wrong, they scared me into quitting. So, am I still allowed to work? The denial notice is very scary. I also have a DMV driver test appointment on Aug. 28. Can I keep that and continue to try to obtain my CDL?
  13. They told me over the phone on a recorded line on the day I got this notice that I can't work now. The wording in the denial form tells me anything based on the I-485 is null because it's now been denied. Even though I file the 290B, that doesn't mean it's officially "pending" again, right? So this confuses me.
  14. I meant to say I had to quit my job immediately. Sorry to confuse anyone if I did.
