My husband passed his interview except they wanted him to send in the proper police certificate with his passport. The officer said he was a clear cut case and that is all they needed. I sent in his passport with the updated police certificate this week via Canada post (to expedite it). I saw via Canada post that it was delivered today. How long does it take to hear from them and have it approved? Has anyone gone through this? How do they communicate with you?

My husband has an upcoming immigrant visa interview. Although we have submitted our 2021 tax returns to the NVC, would it be wise to bring our 2022 tax returns to the interview? Or is it not necessary? Have you found that they specifically ask for that? Thanks/.

We have an interview coming up in Montreal, Canada for my spouses IR1 visa. We also have a joint sponsor. I was looking through the interview checklist and noticed that if the joint sponsors tax return is marriage filing jointly, then the joint sponsors spouse has to fill out an I864A document. I am very worried because the NVC never asked for that so we assumed it wasn’t necessary. The vast majority of their income is from the joint sponsor. My question is, do they have to fill that out even if the NVC didn’t ask for it? Is it wise to bring this years tax return as well? i appreciate all input. Thanks in advance!
