  1. It is very likely that you have to go through the administration processing. Then, you have to wait for a year or so until they are done. If you did not do the military service, include a document showing that you didn’t. That is very important to them. I suggest you skim through some of the previous pages and take a look at spreadsheet showing some of people’s timeline.
  2. Hello, Apologies in advance if the following question is obvious to others. I have a question about those applicants who cross the border to “activate”their immigration visa. It is for those who are already in the US and need to cross the border and come back to Canada and enter again? If not, are people with the visa stamp suppose to enter to the US before expiration date of the visa, stay there until they get the GC? If applicants can cross the border, activate the visa, come back to Canada and promise the immigration officer that they immigrate soon after sorting things out, what are the rules then? I already googled about it but did not find much official information. Thanks,
  3. Did you do military service? Does that affect the processing time for background check?
  4. Hello, I was trying to find more information on your case any other people’s with recent progress but I could not find you username on spreadsheet tracker. Am I missing something? thanks
  5. Hi All, Please stop nonsense conversation about suing them, acting against them etc.. they are doing the favor of issuing visa in a way they want to or afford it. Save space in this forum for some useful comments and updates. If you don't like it change visa office or find a different category with faster processing time.
  6. Hello, I am wondering what benefit it has to acquire several citizenship? I already asked similar question on the forum but I guy did not feel like answering me. I am asking this because I will be in a situation where I will be able to apply for Canadian citizenship at the time when I possibly receive IL for interview. Going through the US immigration and Canadian citizenship will be both tedious. since most people will pursue American citizenship after migrating to the US, what is the point for acquiring Canadian one? Thanks.
  7. Hello, Do they charge for missing shots that they give in the clinic?
  8. Hi, I am not living in the US and did not get the shots in Canada either. I have a certified translation of my childhood vaccination card but could not figure out if they match the number and type of vaccine that are required for IV. Based on my readings, I do not think they upload any data online. They mail it or give it in a sealed envelope.
  9. Hello, 1- How long does it take to send reply to embassy? 2- Do they give the missing shots during the same appointment? I am worried about the timing of medical exam appointment and possible embassy appointment. I live in BC and there is only one doctor here. Thanks.
