  1. Did anyone get approved with only meeting the requirement the latest year and not the previous two years? Is it required to submit 3 years? Thanks!
  2. I have had conflicting advice from others online about household size. Does my joint sponsor need to make enough for my household size and my spouse and her daughter or does it need to be the joint sponsors household size and my spouse and her daughter? So for example there is 4 in my house plus spouse and daughter for a total of 6. My joint sponsor household size is only 2. Would they need enough income for 4 or 6? Thanks!
  3. So I am going to need a joint sponsor. I know 3 years of tax return is required. We have a family of 6 so I think $46k is the required income we need to have. 1) Do you also have to include the sponsor's household size? for example my parents if they sponsor would we have to meet income requirements for 8 or just our 6? 2) Does my income for each year add to the joint sponsor income? So for example if we need income of $46k but I only made $20k and the joint sponsor made $30k would that suffice or does one of us have to make at least $46k? 3) Does the joint sponsor have to be family? 4) Can you have more than one sponsor? Like both my parents on a joint return 5) My dad's income is from retirement, social security, and a side business. Will this be a problem? What documents will he need to provide?
  4. That’s after she has been here two years? Are you saying current wait times are more than 2 years because that’s not what I have seen?
  5. They live in Windsor, Ontario. I’ll check it out. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for your response. There is not a father listed on her birth certificate and he hasn't been in the picture since she was like 3 months old.
  7. Hey all! First post. My soon to be wife and I are going to be starting the process soon for the CR1 after we get married and I wanted to make sure that we are aware of all the expenses. She has an 8 yr old daughter that we will be filing for as well. So far this is the breakdown of costs that I have found: USCIS $535 x 2 NVC $445 x 2 Medical fees $300 x 2 Green card fee $220 x 2 Total: $3000 Are there any other expenses that we don't know about? We don't want any surprises.
