Would there be any repercussions of applying now and getting rejected, on my future application if I did apply now?
I have been told that it might be a good idea to have a shot at application as my current local office has the lowest backlog rate.
I’ve been a Permanent Resident since 2007 and have been visiting the States every 2 years with a Re-entry permit for the first 4 years and every 11 months thereafter.
I moved to the States in June 2020 and have been residing here since the past 2.5 years continuously. Am I eligible to apply for citizenship considering that I’ve had my green card for >5 years and have been continuously living here for more than 30 months. Or should I wait until June 2025 so as to have stayed here for five years prior to applying?
