  1. Potentially, but at this stage and with the wait being so long I value a notification very highly, but that's just me. Because from a RFE, you are looking at a couple weeks until approval. EDIT: I see what y'all are saying now.
  2. I almost think the 1,053+ number is the number we should go off of, because if they put an RFE case aside for a couple weeks while they wait on information, then in theory that allows them to move onto other cases. Hypothetically, a 40,000 backlog when you filed would led to you potentially hearing something in 40 weeks (Approval, RFE, Denial), right? Or am I thinking about this incorrectly?
  3. Do you think we should view it as 1,053+ cases processed or just the approvals? I'm trying to frame this in the best way possible for timelines. Because I wonder how much the RFEs weigh down the processing for future cases. I doubt it has the same weight as an untouched case.
  4. Crazy. That is the same month, and even date I filed and they will be together again, while we are still looking at 14+ months.
  5. Just saw someone post their CR-1 timeline on Reddit, they filed Sep 2022 and just got their approval!
  6. I encourage everyone to write to their reps monthly. If they are being pestered by everyone in their state/district monthly, then they will turn up the heat. End of rant.
  7. Oh wow. I'm not trying to expedite on an individual level, but I want senior officers in the USCIS to feel the pressure of Senators and Congressional Reps reaching out for status updates regularly. The more that Senators are annoyed by their constituents, the more they annoy USCIS.
  8. And no response from them about what USCIS said? I am curious to see what USCIS tells them.
  9. There is no template. I voiced concerns about the 15+ month waiting period and backlog. Someone at your Senators office will read the note and respond. Essentially you just voice your concerns about the process and it taking a long time and impacting US citizens and their families, and ask them what their plan is. I received an email from both of my senator's aides and they have sent inquiries to USCIS about issues with their process and what they are doing about it.
  10. Do we know how many applications are withdrawn on average per week? This week we had ~700, is that within the normal range?
  11. Okay good. I'm not really worried about it because I used to work for DOS and feel like I was pretty thorough in my application, but when I heard about RFE's for proof of an engagement I got really worried!!
  12. What kind of documents would be the standard to gather to prepare for a potential RFE?
  13. Just an update for the group here, I complained to both my senators about the wait times for I-129s and K-1s, and they are reaching out to USCIS. I encourage everyone here to do the same if you haven't already.
  14. I think it is included. Does anyone know how many cases would be ahead of us? I filed in early September.
  15. Here is to hoping that this week keeps the momentum up with case loads being processed! I am cautiously optimistic, but I am a hopeless romantic jaja
