  1. My fiancee was approved yesterday at her interview at the London Embassy. We want to book flights for 5 weeks from now but are worried about getting the documents back in time. Can anyone tell me how long it's taken to get their documents back from the embassy?

I got this message from NVC after inquiring about where my welcome letter was, because we had not received anything after our I-129f was approved.

Then I filled out the DS-160, and the status on CEAC website said "ready" for like one day then changed to this:

The NVC finally sent me my invoice ID and beneficiary ID etc., so when I tried to pay the fees on their page I got this notification:

I'm not really sure what to do/ what the next step here is?

When it goes ready you should be able to go here to create a profile and pay the fees.

  3. We got NOA 2 for our K1 visa on 4/21. We are still waiting on the NVC number. In the mean time, would it be a good idea to start a draft for the DS-160 at around 45 days in anticipation? I saw that it can be saved for 30 days.

My fiancee is in England. When the DS-160 is filed does she need to schedule the medical and interview herself or do they do that and she'll attend at the give times? Is it possible to make an appointment before filing the form?

  4. I am hoping someone can help me find some info about working. My fiancee is in the UK working for a UK based company. They would like to have her continue working there when she moves here, if possible. Does anyone know if it's possible for her to continue to work for an overseas company once she moves here and we are married? Any links or resources you have would be appreciated.

Visa will be issued in the name printed in her passport.

If her passport is still in her married name, she should update it prior to her interview.

Her passport has her legal name as her married name. For example: her name is Sue Smith, but her maiden name/birth name is Sue Jones. She's been Sue Smith for 15 years and that is the name we put on the application but the name on the approval letter is Sue Jones. Would this be an issue?

  6. My fiancee is in the UK and we are gathering information to prepare for getting the NOA 2 in the next couple of months. One thing we're running in to is finding her immunization records. Her GP's office has said they only have records back to 2013 when records were digitized. Has anyone ran in to this and is there a work around? Also, will they accept the immunization information since 2013 for her and her children in the form of a secure NHS email or is there something else we should be gathering?

  7. Hello all. My fiancee and I are hoping to get the NOA2 around late March-ish. She is in the UK. We are trying to make sure we have what is needed for the interview and have two questions we can't seem to find answers for.

Q1: how far in advance can she get her ACRO police report and it be valid? Does she have to wait until we get the request or can we get it sooner?

Q2: We saw somewhere that they request a business suit attire in a specific color at the interview. Is this still required or is it more casual now? What has been your experience?

    Thank you all in advance.
