It seems most stuff is lifted. Some employees still required to wear masks but that's about it.

Yep, we arrived a few days ago, unvaccinated, they didn't ask for covid test result nor the travel pass qr code. And no mask required.

I don't think he lifted everything. For example a negative test is still required to enter the country by air for unvaxed and if positive you still need to quarantine in a hotel. The person who recently had the interview without vaccine, that was for a k1 visa? The only change I heard of was the US removing the vax requirement for tourist visas a few months ago. My experience was in 2021-2022, I'm not sure how it is now in 2023.

I think there are 2 kinds of waivers, one medical which is done before the medical or interview?, and one religion/morals i-601 which is done after being rejected at the interview. We did the i-601 based on moral conviction after the interview and got rejected. I think they wanted religious proof, like letters from priest etc of a religion that won't allow vaccines. I don't think they approve for moral conviction. I don't think it will be removed from the immigration requirements. We ended up moving to Thailand instead of getting the vaccine.

Just be prepared that st lukes extension will be very unpleasant and that the embassy worker will probably reject your visa at the interview and treat you like you're a bad person who is killing grandma's.

Ya we did a consult and the lawyer said get the vax.... And another lawyer said it's worth trying for a tourist visa again.

My thinking was that she would get denied and than we would apply for a 601 waiver and explain that the vax is against her personal beliefs and they would just make her jump through some hoops and than grant the waiver....But they rejected the waiver too!

Plus you get to stay inside the US while waiting for their decision. And you could probably get a lawyer to keep appealing and draw it out forever

Ya and being married to an American and having an American son and no job also hurts her chances. Slim possibility it will be approved but we don't have another option, fjb. The plan is to explain to the consular officer that she won't try to immigrate because that requires the vax. Whereas just being a tourist doesn't. And we already moved to a 3rd country and got residency house school car etc.

I don't know anything about delaying... My wife went for the medical and they told her she needed the vax but she said no. Than she went to her interview at the embassy and the interviewer rejected her immigrant visa and canceled her tourist visa because she didn't get vaccinated. Now she's applying for tourist visa because no vax required for that.

Yes I think they will reject you because no covid vax but I'm not 100% sure. Yes my wife was rejected for spouse visa last year because she didn't get the covid vax. Her experience at st. lukes extension was very bad, horrible place, kids crying, nurses really pressuring her to just get the shot. It's not st lukes hospital in bgc, it's some extension office next to robinsons in malate. Maybe you can go there and ask the guards if it's still required just to make sure before you book. But you already paid for the fiance visa...maybe you can delay it a few years and hope they drop the requirement?

I'm not surprised the manila cdc didn't reply. This isn't about health, it's almost religious, protecting grandma and being a good person. I think that bill is just for tourists. I don't know if that bill passed or a similar one but they removed the vax requirement for tourists a month or two ago. I haven't heard of any proposals to remove the vax requirement for immigrants... My wife is applying for a tourist visa now. We'll see how it goes, after being rejected for an immigrant visa and being married to an American it's not very likely she'll be approved...but worth a try. Maybe it's better if your mom applies for a tourist visa without already being rejected for an immigrant visa
