  1. They're slowly getting into January now. I'd guess about 3 months to start NOA2 for April, and about 6 to get most cases done. They don't go in order so it's hard to say when for sure in that period you might fall.
  2. Hopefully it does become the trend! I looked at my timeline, and for the first time the range of estimated adjudication starts in December 2023 instead of January 2024. Pretty exciting to see that!
  3. I wish they would finally post that Q1 data. I too have been looking for it. Good find.
  4. That's a great option. Depending on the weather as it may be winter/spring still, I was looking at going up into the mountains here for it, but we'll see.
  5. To be honest, my fiance keeps saying we can just get married in my parents' house and she'll be happy. I just don't want her to look back and be disappointed, so I think I'll try and find options that don't break the bank but make it memorable.
  6. This way you'll also get some ideas/options, and can make a note of when you need to make the reservation. With the delays in NVC and the 6 month validity of the visa you should be able to make something work without too much trouble. Plus it's something to help pass the waiting time so it feels like you're doing something more than sitting around (at least that's how I feel about this process).
  7. It depends on the venue, some are booked very far in advance. It wouldn't hurt to figure out where you might want to have the wedding and see how far out they get booked.
  8. Does https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ not include expedites? They've got so many places to look at information and it's all so nuanced... Maybe it's all a smoke and mirrors show so nobody knows what is really going on and as a result nobody can keep them truly accountable (/s).
  9. Agreed, and I made a clarifying edit to my post that the 50% one is for the fiscal year, so only from October until the end of January. The (currently) longer 6 month period will take longer to catch up as rates improve.
  10. On the one site that you're referencing it's the time to adjudicate 80% of cases at a specific location over the last 6 months. The site shared above is for the nation and is the median (not the mean) time to adjudicate 50% of cases for the fiscal year (October through September). So it's a bit of an apples and oranges comparison, but does seem somewhat contradictory.
  11. I noticed it a day or two ago. They updated much quicker this time. Interesting how it's gone from 15 to 14.5 to 14.6 the last three months. 50% in that time and 80% in 15.5 months at the California center.
  12. This is true, but a judge blocked it. What are the odds that happens again? I guess until it happens it isn't worth stressing about too much.
  13. I think the only advantage it would hold is that other visa types (i.e. I-129 foreign worker) would provide money to hire more workers. In theory this would provide more agents to focus on certain types. It could also mean the high income visas suddenly get all the attention to bring in more revenue. It will take time to see any difference either way. There was another thread where someone that used to work for USCIS outlined that it takes months of training before a new agent gets started. I'm October 22 as well. All I can say is I'm planning for the long wait, but hoping that they keep up the positive momentum that they've had the last few weeks and we see some serious backlog reduction for everyone.
  14. Yeah, I'm sure it's not the same, it's been a long time since I was looking at the difference. I didn't bother checking if it had changed before submitting for k-1.
  15. The advantage of a Utah wedding is that they have it set up so that as long as you find someone to officiate from Utah you can be anywhere and get married via video conference. That would circumvent the time waiting for a foreign wedding to get registered and that process here. I was always told to get to the US it's faster k-1, but greencard is faster cr-1.
  16. Based on the 1k+ number last week, it has to include RFE in the processed cases number.
  17. My fiance has a daughter 6, and i was told that you only file 1 I-129f, and then you apply for visas for each of them. So the additional fees don't come until you apply for the visas.
  18. I agree, and I think there will be less and less left behind if they continue to improve the weekly numbers. I'd love to see the average start dipping down soon!
  19. It's hard to say when we'll see that number move, but it's definitely a move in the right direction It seems like they're keeping the focus about 14 months back, which is exciting for some because those cases get done sooner, but you see others still waiting about 19 months. So the average comes out looking better, but really sucks for those left behind.
  20. Could you share the script/instructions with me? I would be interested in running numbers to.
  21. Getting an audience would be huge. I wrote to my senators and my representative, I've gotten two responses of the three. The problem is that both were just form letters that didn't address anything I said. I was pretty displeased to say the least. If you or anyone else has a format of what to include in the stories it would help a lot of people I think. Also, I think stories from those that submitted when lead times were estimated at ~6 months and watched them climb month over month would be very useful. I love seeing everyone come together and offer their resources for the good of the whole.
  22. Not an expert, but I would suggest taking the 2021 tax return and copies of his pay stubs over the last ~6 months. That way you can show he's been working up to present and still meets the requirements.
  23. I keep checking to see if it's there. I want it sooner than later too! I tell myself that if delaying this in favor of processing cases is the trade-off I'll take the cases. Not sure what their process is for getting this done. I would think they'd be able to automate it...
