  1. Just to add, I responded to the email with an explanation and re-submitted the birth certificate. A few minutes later I received the same request, word for word. "Please scan and submit a copy of the passport of your joint sponsor to the electronic documents. Please reply to this email once its complete."
  2. Hello all. Following my interview I sent documents to the US embassy for a joint sponsor. With this I submitted a copy of the sponsor's birth certificate as proof of US citizenship. I have received a RFE asking for a copy of the sponsor's passport. However, she does not have a passport. The I-864 instructions state that there is an option between birth certificate, passport, citizenship certificate or green card as proof. I'm completely at a loss at what to do.
  3. So we may have a potential joint sponsor. She is legally separated from her husband and her taxes are filed as "single" for 2022. My question is would she still need to check "married" under the household size section? Or should this reflect her most recent tax status? Thank you!
  4. Update: So I called again today and this time they told me to select "Consular Section instructed me to send more documents". Always helpful to get conflicting advice on something so important 🙄
  5. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has had this issue. Had my interview at London Embassy on 15th March. Got handed a green slip. Joint sponsor requested. Says to wait 1-2 days for the email with courier instructions to send documents. I still haven't received this (day 4 now) and the "current status" on ais.usvisa-info.com is still "appointment". Called the call center and they instructed me to select "missed my appointment" in order to get the courier instructions. Since I attended the interview, this seems very strange (I reiterated to them that I had indeed attended). I'm very apprehensive to select this as it states... "Warning: Submitting a "No Show" request for an applicant who has been interviewed by a Consular officer and denied a visa is considered an attempt to commit fraud and will have a serious negative impact on the applicant’s visa application record." I told the agent I was nervous to do this and he said don't be, just follow the instructions. For anyone who has been through the process, how long did it take for them to update the current status/send out the email with courier details? There is also the following option in the action menu... "Consular Section instructed me to send more documents" This would obviously seem more appropriate, but the person dealing with my enquiry insisted I use the "missed appointment" option. So confused!
