  1. I have applied for DS-160 at the Vancouver visa application center, my interview is booked at the Ottawa office because I was not getting a sooner date at the Vancouver office, is this ok to do this way, does it cause any significant delays in processing the application or visa, or interview itself?
  2. I am Sorry for causing confusion, my bad! I am getting married on 26th Feb 2023. My DS-160 is locked now as I submitted it in the past around 22nd April 2022. Now there is only one option to create a new DS-160 application and wait for a very long interview date. Is there any other way like sending an email to the US consulate/embassy about the martial status change at the end of February or telling them in the interview about the martial status change which is going to be held on the 25th of April 2023?
  3. Thank you for your response. I submitted the DS-160 application on 22nd of April 2022, at that time I was unmarried. My marriage is taking place on 26th of February 2023. However, my interview for B2 visa is scheduled on 25th of April 2023. As you can see my DS 160 application has passed the 30 days limit, shall I create a new DS-160 application and scheduled a new appointment to update my upcoming martial status as my B2 visa interview is after my marriage or shall I keep this application as it is and tell interviewer of B2 visa about my marriage status or shall I not tell B2 visa interviewer about my martial status as my marriage occurs after submitting my DS-160? Your valuable suggestion would help us a lot.
  4. Hi, This is my first post in this group. I am a Canadian permanent resident and my wife is a US citizen. She is intending to apply I-130 petition for me. However, I have a US visit visa interview scheduled for 25th April 2023. Shall we wait for the visit visa interview to be done and then apply for an I-130 petition after getting my visit visa or shall we apply for an I-130 petition and then complete my visit visa interview? Please suggest. Please note that when I completed my DS-160 we were not married and my DS-160 application was submitted as a single (martial status).
