  1. Ugh I’m sorry. Shocking in this country they can only manage one hospital to handle these exams. But the end is in sight - hang in there! ❤️
  2. Omg my hero I was literally just about to look you up and see if you were scheduled yet 🤣
  3. Yes it took me a couple of tries to get it to go through. I’d suggest trying the Microsoft Edge browser if you haven’t already, that did the trick for me.
  4. DQ’d five minutes ago! Now we wait on Dublin. A great day.
  5. I’d say probably half or less - no furniture, just boxes this time around.
  6. Anyone have recs for shipping companies they've used for a move from Ireland to the states? Final destination is the NYC area. Open to just recs in general as well, even if you didn't move from Ireland - the more recent the better as so much has changed since COVID. Contemplating Seven Seas shipping but not sold just yet.
  7. Ugh that sucks. Yeah I’d heard that too, that it’s hard enough to get the exam before the interview which is ridiculous. I don’t think it adds a ton of time as my understanding is they issue the visa pretty quickly after they get the medical exam, but still. So annoying! My husband had been on an L1 and back then he was able to do his medical in Galway. Can’t believe it’s only in one hospital now.
  8. Curious to see when Dublin gets back to you, that’s our embassy as well. Hoping it’s quick! We’re just a couple weeks behind you here. My understanding is it’s only the Mater private that does the medical exams - not sure if you’ve heard that as well?
  9. Thanks for the feedback and if I do want to entirely nuke my account, including previous forum interaction - can that be done by the site admin? Or do they refuse to delete the forum interactions?
  10. Hello, If I request to delete my VJ account, can I presume that any forum posts or threads started by me are deleted as well? Or do I have to delete those things manually myself?
  11. Hi all, Probably silly question, but humor me If my joint sponsor for my husband's I-864 form is in the US - do I still have to prove my domicile in the US as well? I am outside of the states but should have enough to prove domicile still as it's only been a few years and we still file taxes, have bank accounts, etc. etc. But I'd love to be lazy and not need to type up that statement if it isn't truly required lol.
  12. I filed on January 28th and last I checked my case is also in Potomac. In the past few months our estimated time went from 11 months, to 5 months, to 3 weeks for like a day or so, and now it’s been at 4 months for about a month or so. I’m trying to hope that the estimate is correct, but I know realistically it probably isn’t. But still. I’m living overseas with my husband who I’m sponsoring and I’m ready to go “home” aka America.
  13. So I logged on this morning and my processing time tab was back, and still said 5 months. Logged on a minute ago and now it says my case is taking longer than expected to process. I honestly can’t help but laugh lol, like what the hell are they doing over there in Potomac!
  14. I just logged in a moment ago and now my estimate tab is gone???? Ugh lol the mystery continues!
  15. FYI my processing time dropped off from 11 months to 5 months today! Word on the street is they are reallocating cases and resources to the 1-130 standalone backlog 😁 we’ll see what happens, but it gives me hope!
  16. Yes I was referring to this website…but hey, good to know that I’m not the only one who’s noticed lol. Thanks for your reply!
  17. Hi all, I notice if I go to the processing times tab at the top of the website, there is no "current processing times" info on the right hand side for cases assigned to the Potomac service center. Any idea why this is - is there just not enough data being submitted to the website to provide processing time info? I assume that's the reason, but wondering if there's something I'm missing here...thanks
  18. I just asked - when you are in the Emma chat box, you have to type in agent and connect to a live service agent to ask where the case is assigned to. You can't get that information from the self service options on Emma - on the bright side, I was able to connect to an agent immediately and it was really easy to get an answer!
  19. Hi all, joining in for the first time here in the forums I'm a USC living in Ireland with my Irish husband. Filed our I130 on January 28th. Got a receipt immediately saying our petition was assigned to the Nebraska service center. I then got a notice on January 30th saying our case is being actively reviewed by USCIS. No updates since then. The USCIS website estimates our petition will be decided on in 11 months. I saw some of you mentioned that by chatting with Emma you were able to tell if your case was transferred - can you tell me what you asked the bot to get that info? I don't have any reason to think our case was transferred but would be nice to know I suppose! Looking forward to going on this journey with you all
