  1. Yes so after they got my husband’s medical report results they sent an email to him asking for his passport to be sent back and that’s where the link was with the form that can be printed to be scanned by dpd. So keep an eye out for that and you should be good to go then to send in the police cert and passport!
  2. So if the embassy requested you send your passport back, there should be a link in the request email that takes you to a portal where you print off a form with your name on it as well as a tracking number and a barcode for dpd to scan. The cost of the shipment back to the embassy is then paid for. That’s probably the form they are looking for. Otherwise I do think you can mail it back just like in general, but you’d still want to include the letter in the envelope so the embassy has your tracking details. I’d go back to their request email and see if you see the link for the portal.
  3. Wow, it’s about time! NVC was quick enough when we did it, so if you’ve got all your docs organised I think you’ll make up for some lost time there. Good luck and congrats!
  4. Hi all, my husband had his green card interview this morning and was approved pending his medical exam. Thanks to everyone who provided advice about how to navigate this process when you're the sponsor living overseas with the beneficiary. I think this advice is the reason we got approved on the spot! He said in the end they asked him minimal questions and it was very anticlimactic lol.
  5. Hi, this was the Dublin embassy. The expedite was never processed since we got a standard interview date scheduled while it was still pending, so I don't know what the full steps would be. As appleblossom said above though, just follow the directions on the link she shared and that's essentially how it works!
  6. We got an interview letter on May 2nd so about 3.5 months after DQ to letter.
  7. Thanks for that feedback, I think we uploaded our ESD from revenue but if not I’ll pop that on next week. I’m currently paying the movers deposit, booked the pet transport, and hopefully putting a deposit on daycare next week. We’re gonna throw the book at them with planning docs thanks to your feedback! Trying to get an employer letter about the transfer but we’ll see - a lot of our US HR is outsourced to South America so not sure how likely I am to get a wet ink signature letter from them but I’m gonna try 😵‍💫
  8. Holy , thank you so much for the heads up and yeah what an effing nightmare. I guess I have 3 weeks at least to try and pull some of this together? Ugh. We do have a mover planned, guess I better pay that invoice lmao. I could get the employer letter too I suppose, but I'll have to hustle to get that turned around in time. Projects for tomorrow I guess! Ugh ugh ugh.
  9. We got an interview appointment this afternoon, so hopefully yours is coming through imminently as well. They didn’t respond to our expedite yet, it appears this was just part of the normal scheduling process.
  10. Received our interview appointment this afternoon from NVC for June 6th. Check your emails if you were DQ’d around the same time (Jan 25th)
  11. Hey! Nothing yet. I sent in an expedite request last week and the NVC forwarded it to the embassy last Tuesday. Still waiting to hear back on that. Seems like most embassies respond to expedites really quickly but of course Dublin has taken a week so far 🙄
  12. Yes I’ll keep this page updated! We are actually being evicted at the end of August so I’m going to try and expedite for financial hardship. A long shot but we have to try at least. I did try emailing the NVC to ask why the hell they gave interview letters this month to people DQ’d in March instead of January, since it’s the exact opposite of their stated rule which is first in first out based on DQ date. They of course emailed back with a copy paste response to say that they schedule interviews FIFO and were in the queue. Completely useless.
  13. FYI to those still waiting for interviews - I’ve come across the details of other people who DQ’d in March and got interview letters last Friday. So, appears the whole first in first out shtick that the NVC tells us all is a lie as a bunch of folks have been skipped - color me surprised lol.
  14. Sorry, should have included that! I am a citizen. The CEAC portal just says it’s at NVC. We were DQ’d January 25th.
  15. Next week will be 90 days waiting for an interview letter for my husband - IR1, Dublin embassy. I’ve seen mixed stuff online from the NVC about calling after 90 days has passed to see what’s going on. I’m living overseas with my husband and my work has agreed that August is my window to move over in. Additionally, my husband will probably lose his internal transfer role if we don’t get some concrete dates for his company’s U.S. management soon. Starting to get desperate.
  16. Glad to hear you got some good news! Although I will say, if we don’t get something this month that does feel like a big middle finger from the U.S. government to those of us DQd earlier in the year lol.
  17. FYI to anyone wondering about interview timelines, my spouse and other people DQ'd around the same time (mid to end of January) have still not received interview letters this month. Unless one mysteriously appears our inboxes today or Monday, I can only assume we might hear something in May. It's almost like they either a) only sent letters for people DQ'd in the first half of January or b) didn't send letters at all! Who knows. So, so, so frustrating to have zero information into this process. Everyone seems to think that interview letters are sent around the first week of the month so if we don't get something today I don't have much hope that we'd get something later in the month, as I haven't heard of that happening really...
  18. Thank you so much! Yes I honestly can’t believe that it’s taken this long, Lord knows this embassy isn’t nearly as busy with people trying to enter the states as some of the other ones globally are and yet here we are 2+ months later with no end in sight. I’m fortunate in that I’m actually living here with my husband (the one I’m sponsoring) but somehow that’s actually worse in a way - no interview date means no window in which to book plane tickets, pet transport, the movers, or find an apartment or daycare for our daughter which are critical. Like I can’t even being to guess when we’ll be there so I can put down a deposit for daycare. The anxiety over how expensive all the last minute arrangements are going to be is actually crippling. I know I should be grateful that he and I are together but still. Ugh. Will keep this thread informed for sure.
  19. Nope. 10 weeks DQ’d as of this past Thursday, so really hoping we get an interview letter next week maybe. It seems that interviews are only scheduled once a month so fingers crossed we’re in this next batch. Getting really anxious at this stage as planning our move is going to be a nightmare and we won’t have much time to do it at this point. Waiting this long for an interview appointment is making it really hard to get organized.
  20. Ugh I’m sorry. We’re still waiting too. Hoping I’ll hear this week maybe since it’s the start of a new month, but who knows at this rate.
  21. @Jojomaman no update unfortunately. Still waiting on the interview date.
  22. Hey! We were DQ’d 8 weeks ago today and still no interview date, unfortunately.
  23. Well that would be lovely if it were true as 8 weeks is next week, so that would mean any day now. I guess we’ll see!
  24. I’m sorry to hear that - how unbelievably frustrating!
  25. Is anyone in this group DQ’d but still waiting on an interview appointment? It’s been over 6 weeks since DQ and still waiting on the Dublin embassy. It’s so frustrating that no info is available regarding the wait times for immigrant interviews! I did email the NVC to see if they’d share what dates the embassy is currently scheduling for but got nowhere.
