    Just a couple questions that have been on my mind while we’re waiting for our NOA2, if anyone has any answers I’d appreciate it 1) I plan to disclose the fact I self harmed as a teen and the fact I’m diagnosed with anxiety (obviously as they do ask about both self harm and mental disorders) at the medical. However, when I was 14 I tried to overdose on paracetamol but panicked and told my mother who then took me to our GP. I don’t remember how much I took or if I even overdosed from a medical standpoint (I didn’t need my stomach pumped, wasn’t institutionalised, or anything like that) but I told my GP what had happened and I was sent to child mental health services, where I had one therapy session and never heard back. I’m happy to disclose this at the medical but I’m unsure if I should volunteer this information outright, I’ve read you should be honest if asked but not offer up information otherwise. Just a little guidance on what to do would be appreciated. 2) My ex was also an American so I have visited to US a lot (twice a year for 2 weeks each between 2018 and 2019 with another visit in early 2020). I’ve never overstayed. My ex and I broke up in 2021, we never filed for any kind of visa for me. If the embassy asks about this I will, of course, be honest. I’m just a little worried about this potentially being a red flag and would like to know how prepared I should be.

    Hey I wanted to pop in and say you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I had a lot of issues with self harm as a teen so I'm also a little scared about the medical, but I found this thread super helpful in both easing my anxiety and helping me figure out what I'll need to take with me Also just as an aside, as I also read the thread you made about misrep, anxiety is absolutely your worst enemy when it comes to this whole process. We got our NOA1 in Jan and since then it's like my brain pinpoints something else to worry about every month so I definitely understand where your worries are coming from. I know it's difficult but the best thing to focus on everything that can go right with your case and the very likely reality that everything will go smoothly. Funnily enough we're the same age and from the UK so if you ever need to DM someone in the same boat to bounce your worries off I'd be happy to lend an ear. (Also off topic my apologies, but is your username a Bloodborne reference? That's awesome if so)

    Shameless lurker here. Just wanted to pop in and echo what many others have said in the thread already: thank you so much to those providing figures, updating spreadsheets, etc💕💕 Although my NOA2 is a ways off (Jan ‘23 filer) it’s honestly so reassuring being able to look under the hood and actually see where USCIS is at. Plus my brain just loves seeing numbers go up. So yeah, I’ll return to my hidey hole now, but again a big thank you to everyone in this thread for providing such a positive atmosphere♥️

    Hi, so kind of freaking out right now. My fiance and I sent our petition on January 21st this year and my fiance just double checked the receipt (don't ask me why he didn't earlier) and realised the post office has sent it to the wrong P.O box (they put 660157 instead of 660151, the rest of the address was correct). The address is written correctly on the envelope (he took a picture of it before sending it). My fiance has called USCIS and they told him to contact the post office he sent it from, he's literally driving over there as I'm typing this. How screwed are we? Will the petition be sent back to us so we can resend it or will we need to print everything off and send it off again.

    Hi! So my fiance and I have pretty much completed our application package but my fiance’s father is currently in the process of selling his house where my fiance and I would’ve been living. Originally we decided to wait until my fiance got a new address to send everything off but, due to personal complications, it may take longer to sell the house than anticipated, which in turn delays my fiance moving into a new place. We’re considering just submitting the application with my fiance’s current address as we don’t want our application to be delayed any longer. I was just wondering how easy it is to inform USCIS of a petitioner’s address change, it’s inevitable that he will move, we aren’t sure how much hassle it’d be and whether we’re just better off waiting for the new address.
