My case is being held for review and I am putting together more documents, can I highlight stuff on the papers I am sending? For example statements and such Thank you

case hold for review my husband and I had our green card marriage based interview, at the end of the interview I got a letter saying the case was being hold for review. We got married right before my F1 OPT was expiring so I got lots of questions about that and not many questions about our status as a couple. They kept me in the room for about 1.15m and kept my husband 15mins asking him only couple questions (the ones they asked me). I was missing our most recent tax refund and when they asked us about joint things I showed them our lease, house insurance and joint bank account. They then proceeded to ask me and him as well more joint things that we did not have (they asked him if we had a Cisco membership for example, which we don’t) are we most likely getting hold for review for the tax transcripts? We have been together for about 4.5yrs and lived together for 2.5, we answered the same things when got asked the same question. I had a J1 au pair and F1 visa before applying for AOS thru marriage. thank you

Hello everyone, My EAD got approved but my AOS is still pending I got a job and I am trying to figure out if I am doing this correctly, because my AOS is pending am I considered an nonresident alien? Also back in April my husband and I filed taxes jointly, was this a mistake, where we supposed to file separately because of my pending status? Thank you

I just checked my documents session in myUSCIS portal, as someone has suggested in another post, my EAD was approved on the 23rd!! nothing showing up on my progress page but it’s in the document session!! Glad we have this community

Hello, I am on AOS, married in December, filed aos mid January and took fingerprints end of February. Last week I got 6 emails with the same message “we have taken an action on your case” but nothing is showing on my USCIS portal. Is this more likely a mistake? Does this maybe mean my papers are being processed? I know the waiting time is approx 8mo from biometrics to get EAD but I am on the 6mo mark and it’s starting to get frustrated

Even for EAD after biometrics? It clearly states of the USCIS website that it takes 90-120 days to process the work permit after fingerprints

We filed my AOS in January (from F1student to green card thru marriage with us citizen), I had my biometrics appointment Feb 24th, I know there’s a 90-120 days for USCIS to process my EAD but just wondering what was the processing time for others? I am at a 101 days mark

We put down 1 for household size from the moment she lives by herself Were we supposed to put 2 bc she is sponsoring me? This is the only other error we are thinking of

Yes we submitted the same documents as well, we submitted the 864 completed and signed, tax returns, w2 forms and employment letter and pay slips thats why I am unsure of what they need more, the only thing we didn’t submit from my joint sponsor are her 1099s

I was in the US with a F1 visa (under OPT) and got married to a USC I sent my AOS on Jan 20th and got RFE for form I864 (joint sponsor) My husband doesn't meet poverty guidelines as a sponsor so we added a joint sponsor who meets way above poverty guideline, we sent in her social security, w2 forms, tax transcripts, employment letter, pay slips and birth certificate - the only thing we did not send are her 1099s. I received the RFE on Feb 7th and those are the bulletin points (documents to submit) * complete and sign 864 *joint sponsor social security *complete and correctly calculated household size *complete copy of federal tax return *joint's sponsor status I am just unsure what else I need to submit from the moment that we sent everything that is required, is this a mistake on their hand or am I missing something? Also is it true you only have 1 try for RFE and they might deny your case?

Hello everyone, my husband and I are filing for AOS, I am in the USA under a F1 visa (currently OPT) Page 10 item 15 asks if I ever got denied a visa which I did, my F1 visa got denied at the Milan US Embassy and then got accepted about a month later in Rome, what do I need to write in the additional information page? When my visa got denied the office person didn’t really give me an explanation so I don’t know if I have to go into details. Also would this cause a problem in my application? Thank you

Hello everyone, my husband and I are filing for marriage based green card application and I am currently in the U.S. with a F1 (OPT) visa. In the support documents for form I-485 should I put copies of my previous leases and W2 forms and tax returns? also being a college student I have been living in multiple houses but I am missing one sublease document should I add an explanation for it? (I contacted my previous landlord but no luck) Thank you
