    I forgot to mention in the thread above but I am currently married to a US citizen. Do I still require the I140?

    I am currently in US on H1B visa. I applied for adjustment of status. I received a rejection notice today form I797 C which says " Based on the information you provided,your priority date could not be established. Please resubmit your application with the proper documentation to the address listed below." What does this mean? Do I have to set a priority date? Appreciate your input
