Thank you for responding. All of the pages are there, it's the entire decree with all 48 pages. There was nothing on the front that indicated it was a certified copy. We asked for a certified copy of the decree and that's what they gave us; the entire decree with each page stamped like the one in the photo I attached. Nothing more. The reason I'm a little concerned is because of how many people we had to talk to in order to even get THAT sent out. We got so many different answers and this is too important for them/us to mess up.... the thought of going back to Montreal to get turned away because it didn't contain the words "Certified Copy" is unsettling. My husband's lawyer was based in Texas and he's in Arizona, so he wasn't able to get one directly from the court room, and we weren't aware we'd need a certified copy of THAT for immigration. I really hope that stamp is what they consider a certified copy, and I hope it's accepted. -
I guess I'm not understanding. The court district that stamped it, is considered certified, correct?

Okay that makes me happy. So the stamped should be sufficient enough then.

Okay that's comforting. He had to pay for it and it was noted it was for immigration so I figured it would be okay. It makes sense why it wasn't accepted prior, but still really sucked.

I went to the Montreal consulate for my interview with my binder of documents and thought we had everything. My husband has previously been divorced and it was in a different state from where he lives, so the final divorce document was esigned by the lawyer and judge, then sent through email to my husband. So I printed that off and thought it would be good, since it had legal signatures on it. When I went to the immigration interview I didn't even get passed the document verification window once the person saw that document. They said it needed to be a certified copy of his certificate. So, now, he sent a request to Texas for a certified copy of his divorce certificate and what they sent him was his divorce decree with a stamp on each page. There's no like, certificate so we're concerned the same thing is going to happen. So it is technically a verified document, and since it was efiled, this is what's available. The photo of the grainy "Signature Certificate" is what he got, and also what he got back after the county send him his "verified" copy. The stamped image is the stamp on each page that classifies it as verified. I guess I'm just hoping for information on if this is going to be okay or are we going to get turned away. I'm so nervous about getting turned away again.

We just got all our documents approved on the CEAC and received the message that says "Please submit every 2023 W-2, 1099, and Schedule form for *husband*" We know what a w-2 is, that's easy. But neither of us have heard of a 1099 or a "Schedule" form. Any idea what this is?

I wasn't even remotely aware of that fee so thank you. I'm glad we found it now. So you mention you can pay for it after entry into the US? Not paying for it right away is acceptable? Not implying that's what we'll do, just trying to budget accordingly!!

Is there an additional fee after we paid the CEAC fees? (Affidavit and IV Application)? After reading the interview prep guide in their website it indicated there's an immigrant fee. I thought that's what the $325 fee was when we had to submit those before the civil documents? Is this another fee we'll have to pay provided we get approved? These fees are adding up 😩Boundless was supposed to give us the breakdown but they didn't give us that fee!

Within the DS-260, there is a section that asks if you've ever been issued a visa. When I entered the US land border from Canada, I had a stamp in my passport (which I no longer have because Canada confiscated it when I applied for a new one with my married name) that indicated a visa (I think tourist) and the date I must return to Canada by. Is this considered a U.S visa that I have been issued that I would need to declare in the DS-260?

Little bit of an odd question and I can't find an answer. When I did my long visit to my husband back in 2022 before we were married, I was held for questioning, got fingerprinted and eventually the officer was extremely kind and let me go after stamping my passport and told me I had to be back before said date passed. Problem is, I don't have that passport anymore since the Canadian government takes them back when you get a new one (now with married name) so I don't know what it said. Do I have to declare this on my DS-260 as a previous visa? Since technically it was just done at the Canadain-US land border crossing? Bonus question: My I94 doesn't reflect another stay I did, do I skip that one and add the following? It was only a 4 day visit in 2023 but I noticed it isn't reflected on my current travel records.

Just wondering how that works. I'm in Canada and partner is in US, we filed as such. I recently moved and now I'm not sure if there's anywhere I have to indicate to the USCIS that I've moved? Does all the correspondance go to my partner's residence in the US since that's where we'll be anyways? Will the interview date be mailed to me or just notify him via email? Thanks in advance! Still learnin the ropes

My husband filed his taxes and labeled as "divorced" since technically he got divorced and we got married shortly after. Since I'm living in Canada while our CR-1 is being actively reviewed, there was no way he could add me since I don't have a SSN. So he filed as divorced. Is this going to cause issues during my interview or even during the next steps? I'm so nervous this is going to backfire, but he thinks it'll be fine. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. If it matters, we're 10 months into the wait, got married in April last year, filed in August.
