My honey and I met in NC while I was doing an exchange semester in college. I went to Elon University and he was a Marine stationed at Camp Lejeune. One of his friends also went to Elon and when he came for a visit we met at a party. We spent the whole night talking to each other and whenever he had the time he came to visit me over the weekends.
At this time no one of us wanted a real relationship because we both knew that I was going to leave shortly. But I ended up extending my stay and we spent 4th of july together before I had to go back home to Sweden.
I guess we became a real couple when I came and visited him over Halloween of 2006. Ever since then we have been going back and forth to see each other and we can't wait until we don't have to be apart any more.
It is funny how things work out - I guess we where made for each other after all... No one really wanted to break it off, and now we are ready to get married to each other!!
