Is your car finally successfully imported to the United States? Did Toyota finally give you a compliance letter? Or via RI? how much did you spend? Please share with your successful experience to us. I just got my green card and I am eager to import Lexus cars to the United States. Used cars in the United States are so expensive now.

I crossed the border to USA from Canada on June 8th. I received my SSN (Social Security Number) by mail on June 27 and it was dated on June 12.

A agent just quoted me $4600!!!And we need to modify car to meet their requirment! "If you can’t get the letter, we would have to import it and have it sit in our yard for a minimum of 30 days. But…we need to confirm if the vehicle has a working TPMS. That can be verified by turning the car on and look for an orange symbol like this: (!). If the car doesn’t have it, it can not be imported. We should also be able to see the words “BRAKE” and “PARK”. If you don’t have those you will have to fix it before it can cross.“ ”According to my understanding, you will send a tow truck to take my car away from my home, and then shipped it to stay in your place for 30 days, and after the formalities were completed, we went to your city to pick it up. Then take your documents and go to the DMV to register in my name, right? Such a total cost including tariffs and all government fees is 4600 US dollars?“

In theory yes, but Canada Post would make a mistake and my passport would be sent to South Shore, delaying delivery even though the US Consulate and Post Office are on the same Catherine Street -

Hello everyone, I leased a car at the Lexus store in 2021, and it expires next year. I plan to buy it out and bring it to the United States for use now. What should I do? What documents do I need to prepare to turn my Canadian car into a USA car? Is there any detailed steps you can teach me? Is there an agency that can do it for me? How much will it cost? Thank you very much for your reply!

The status changed yesterday, but it’s very strange. Only two of my three members showed “Card is being Produced”, and one person still stay in “Visa fee is received”. One immigrant visa case numbers ,entered the United States to activate the green card at the same time. Pay the fees at the same time, is this normal? Or will it sync later? -

Entering the United States from Highway 15 today, We waited in the lobby for more than an hour, and finally called our name. Maybe there are few businesses like activating green card. A boss taught his subordinates how to take pictures and input information. He did it very carefully. Then we changed the mailing address of our green card. Finally, another department staff checked the information and finally stamped our visa. The supervisor congratulated us on becoming a permanent resident of the United States. He explained a little bit about when the green card will be sent out. Because they only took a photo of my son, we asked if we don’t need to take a photo for fingerprints. The boss said no need, and asked us if we want to take fingerprints again? We laughed and said" no", then the boss asked if we are going back to Canada now? We said yes, we will move to the US when we are ready, he asked about when, and said it would be fine, and the whole process would be like this.
