Montreal embassy EB-2 interview wait time-Part 2
Lkkclub123 replied to Blueeyes1989's topic in Canada
I'm from a country friendly to the United States,I was very very lucky and only waited 13 months. The data I saw before was that the wait was eight to nine hundred days. After I received my green card through an interview at the end of May, no one here seemed to have received an interview letter. Look now The number of people who pass the EB category at the Montreal Consulate every month is only one-tenth of the previous number, and there is no sign of improvement at all. I would also suggest that if there is a choice, it would be a better idea to choose other consulates for interviews. -

We entered the United States from Quebec to activate our green cards. There were three of us, but only my son's photo was taken. We and my wife were not taken, and all three of us did not have our fingerprints taken. I asked the officer at that time if I needed to take fingerprints? He smiled and said, do you want to take fingerprints? I'll record it for you. I smiled and said, no need. Later, we received our green cards smoothly. Just for your reference, wish you good luck -

1. Yes, you can change the mailing address of the green card during the interview. My interviewer asked me if I need to change it. Or you can also request to change the address when POE activates your immigrant visa. 2. You can show your old passport when submitting documents, tell the officials that your old passport has your US visa on it, and see if they need it -
1. POE 2. Within one year, he can use passport + visa + stamp to enter the country. Of course, you can also send the green card to him, if you don’t consider the risk of mailing

The visa + CBP entry stamp serves as the temporary green card, which is equivalent to a plastic green card for all legal purposes, including travel. This note will be printed on the visa itself -- "UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR." In case it's not clear, I-551 = green card, and endorsement = CBP entry stamp.

My car has TPMS, but I still need to modify the lights on the dashboard. I asked a few RIs and they said they could import my car, we drove to their facility for 30 days and then picked up the car, took their documents and went to DMV to register. How much did they tell you the total cost of importing?Which province are you in?i'm in quebec

Can US permanent residents enter the US in a Canadian car without importing it?

May I ask if your Michigan drivers license was directly replaced with a Canadian driver's license? Do you need to take the exam again? What documents are provided? Thank you -
May I ask how much you paid for the modification of the airbag light?

review Review of my medical exam at TELUS Health Care Centres (Montreal) – 2023
Lkkclub123 replied to EC&IC's topic in Canada
I think the doctors at Telus are nice and enthusiastic, but the fees are very expensive. The three of us paid $2200 because we were required to get cervical cancer vaccine (20-year-old boy) and shingles vaccine (we had chickenpox as a child), they said this is the latest regulation -
Because lexus no longer issue us a compliance letter, it can only be imported through a registered importer, my question is: Our car has to be parked in their facility for 30 days, after paying customs duties and other fees to complete the formalities and get the import documents, and then go to the DMV to register. Will my Quebec license plate still be valid when we go to pick up the car and leave their facility? At that time, can I still drive back to Montreal to pick up my moving things and then drive to North Carolina DMV to register?Thank you for your answer!

I crossed the border to USA from Canada on June 8th. I received my SSN (Social Security Number) by mail on June 27 and it was dated on June 12. -
Is your car finally successfully imported to the United States? Did Toyota finally give you a compliance letter? Or via RI? how much did you spend? Please share with your successful experience to us. I just got my green card and I am eager to import Lexus cars to the United States. Used cars in the United States are so expensive now.
