  3. Hello everyone 👋 I filed I-130 for my mom in January 6, 2024. It’s still pending and no movement yet except for when we received Receipt Notice in January 10,2024. My question is I think I messed up when I completed the I 130 form initially 😢 As I was reviewing the form today, I realized I answered no to the question “Has anyone else ever filed a petition for the beneficiary?” I answered no. My mom, back in 2014?, applied for Tourist Visa and was denied. When I was filling out this form, I must have not fully understood the question. Thinking back, I thought this means has anyone applied for her before, so I answered no. No one else has, except for when she applied, on her own, for tourist visa, and then now, for me applying for her. Are we screwed ? Is she going to get denied? 😭 how can I correct this? I feel so stupid
  4. HI everyone, wanted to join this thread. I filed for my mom's I-130 in Jan 6, 2024 and received receipt Jan 10. 2024. Since Jan 10 2024, no update or progress made. Just says "We are actively looking into your case" status. Anyone seen movement to your application? When I looked at timeline last month it said 11 months to go for an update then a week later, changed to 10 months....
  5. HI everyone! Just wanted to join this thread. I filed for my mom's I 130 online as well - and from the Philippines. Following this thread to help us on our journey as well. Timeline I 130 Filled online - January 6, 2024 "Case is being actively reviewed" status - January 10, 2024
  6. Hello everyone! I received my US citizenship last year in September. I filed for my mom’s I-130 on Jan 5,2024. Can someone educate me on the entire process? I’ve been doing a lot of reading and I’m still confused. so from this point, I’m assuming we wait. Then, either it’s approved or denied. If it’s approved, then we schedule for my mom’s interview? She is currently in the Philippines so assuming that’s through US Embassy in Manila. When scheduling the interview, does my mom request the interview? I.e select the time and date? Or does the embassy determine the time and date? We’re trying to time the interview to our Philippines trip, so that we can be there for her. And can I be there during her interview? What are other things that we should prepare for? Is the affidavit of support required then? Or when does fit in all of this? Also - I don’t have any estimated time yet, per online status? What’s your experience been? How many months did it take for approval? sorry for the 104985859 questions 😊 thank you for info in advanced!
