Some FO's take time to approve, some approve instantly and some approve and put the applicant in oath and some approve and give oath the same day. All depends on FO and how busy they are at the time of interview, and also depends on how complete your application is... Just wait a few days to see if they upload the approval/oath letter.

Selective service evidence?
ImmigrantKrish replied to randomstairs's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Almost everyone receive that generic letter with interview. Both I and spouse entered US on non immigrant visa's and we are well past in our 35's by the time we got GC. Yet we got this request and I had a chuckle when my wife got it requested first... -

N400 - October 2022 Filers
ImmigrantKrish replied to Nkrish83's topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
Just finished my oath ceremony at US District Court, Arizona District. 71 of us from 31 different countries took the oath and became citizens. Court clerk put the ceremony on docket and Judge approved the docket, full formarlisque ceremony. Glad to put this behind and now I can shred anything and everything that has F1-, H1, GC and Usics on it (except the naturalization cert). My journey took 24 years, I could have applied in 2018, which would be 18+ years if I chose to. Coming from India, the backlog is huge glad to be done with.- 207 replies

Your work should find an alternate person so you can do to your oath ceremony. I would want mine to be over with rather chance it or move it for later... -

You don’t need 2022 tax records as the deadline is in April. Take the other 2 years with you -

If you do not have an account, then you will need to create one. If you already have one (I think you would if you file online), then log into that account, check under documents tab to see the NOA and bio-reuse (if they do) mailers. If you do not have account, you will get them (NOA and Bio) by USPS and you will get them in 7 - 10 days, or 5+ business days. You should register the account online so you can check to make sure you get interview scheduled letter online, before you get it via usps. since your daughter is under 18, you DO NOT apply for n-400. Wait for either you or your wife gets naturalized certificate, then apply for her passport/passport card and then claim the citizenship with N-600 ( I believe, some one correct me if I am wrong). She inherits the citizenship from the parents, provided she is under 18 and some other rules. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/explore-my-options/citizenship-through-parents -
N400 based on 5 years rule
ImmigrantKrish replied to Zxcvbnmz's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
I attended my interview and 10 days ago I uploaded IRS tax returns on the site as unsolicited evidence. The officer didnt ask for any and I did tell him I have ton of documents and thought I need to bring, he said he looked over and everything checks out and he didnt need anything. I uploaded the following as per the app 1. copy of Marriage Cert 2. copy of my GC 3. both kids birth certificate and then unsolicited evidence of last 5 years of tax transcripts (4 from IRS and 1 year of returns). -
Just finished my interview and got the oath letter for Feb 3rd at US District Court and officer told me that everyone is welcome while to watch. Started with taking oath to tell the truth, then 6 questions - what do we show the loyalty to when we say pledge of allegiance, what was one thing Abraham Lincoln do, Name one war fought in 1900 name 3 original colonies how many senators, Name one longest river, Read:Washington DC is our capital Write:Washington was the first president. Then Yes/No questions.. and then are you willing to questions with yes/no. took 15 mins, then I asked if I passed, he said everything on his side is good, waiting for the supervisor to approve. Took me to the lobby and told me to wait until he gets me. 10 mins later, he came out and handed me I-652 and said the oath ceremony will be at the court house and wait to get the letter before leaving the lobby. Congratulated me and then waited 30 mins to get the letter in hand. right after the interview, when I was in the lobby, the online status changed to approved, then later to oath ceremony will be mailed out, and then oath ceremony mailed and saw the date/time 20 mins before I got the official letter. Another chapter is coming to close, and Phx FO is processing the N-400 within 3-4 months if the cases are standalone.

Update on speeding ticket ---------------- I just finished my interview and the officer asked me to clarify why the form said I had an arrest listed. I explained that I put in traffic citation with a date and when the form is completed, it showed the citation date as Date arrested. Officer concurred that I should list the ticket as it is part of citation question, but they are ONLY looking for serious offenses or issues, not normal speeding. Anyone reading this, please be truthful and you will get a chance to explain, and that is what I did. Some chose to not list it and during the interview they bought it up and the officer had to put that in the form. Choice is yours... but I say from my experience they are not going to deny for an ordinary speeding ticket that is taken care off.

3 year rule or 5 year rule?
ImmigrantKrish replied to Iris1954's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
It depends on resident since date on the green card. If it’s five years since that date then it’s less paper worked.
