    When we first filed, our VJ date was in mid April 2024... now it is Feb 4-13! Yay... a 2-month improvement!

    I have seen other people mention that too. Just go by the date that is on your official NOA1 letter.

    I *think* (also from what I hear) that it depends on the embassy, but in cases like yours (Mumbai) and ours (Islamabad), as soon as our NVC case shows READY then yes we can go online and schedule our own interview. And the DS-160 is done online while all other documents are taken to the interview. I'm not an expert! Someone please correct us if this is incorrect! Thanks.

    This is my theory. People tried to file the petition with insufficient evidence to see if they could get away with it, then when the RFE comes they drop it...
