  1. For anyone who has reached the point of scheduling their Interview Appointment with the US Consulate, I have a question about their confirmation email. The email I received from lagosIV@state.gov says: "The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos is looking forward to your upcoming Immigrant Visa interview scheduled for 11th July 2023 at 06:30am." etc Below the "Medical Report" section it says: "We have attached a contact sheet to this email, which you must fill with your personal details and your US contact/Petitioner’s name. You must bring it to the interview." etc Then it lists all the documents that must be brought to the interview. The first in the list says "Contact sheet" Does anyone know what this Contact sheet is? Or has someone else's email included such a file? The only 3 files attached to the email are: IMBRA - New.PDF K1 Packet April,2023.PDF Medical Examination Instructions April,2023.doc (1).PDF
  2. I'm not sure who put a Link along with the words "Fiance Visa" because I didn't include any Links in my post, but I was referring to the Guide seen at: https://www.visajourney.com/guides/adjustment-of-status-k1-k3-visas/
  3. I read the tip in the K1 Fiance Visa Guide where it gives a tip regarding Vaccination Records that says: "The K-1/2 beneficiary will be required by the embassy to have a "medical" done prior to the visa interview. Part of this interview will require that previous vaccinations are documented and potentially additional required vaccinations performed. Once this is complete the doctor will note this on a DS-3025 form that will be sent to the embassy. During the medical appointment request an official copy of the vaccination records from the physician (or a copy of the completed DS-3025 if they will give it to you) as this will be helpful to have on hand in the future (specifically it can be helpful when filing for Adjustment of Status if your DS-3025 form is not available)." However, I forgot to send that to my Fiancee before the Medical Exam and vaccinations which took place yesterday. Therefore, there we have no paper copy. Does anyone know if this will definitely cause a problem when it comes to filing for Adjustment of Status, or do they possibly have some sort of electronic copy they store somewhere in the system?
  4. I saw this on Page 14 of this Forum / topic. We haven't received packet 3 or anything yet (although NVC sent to Consulate 3/28/23). I'm not sure what 'sending in Packet 3' means, but I wondered if that process might work for me here with our case in Nigeria. Thanks to anyone with any tips.
  5. Congratulations! I wish that was for me and my fiancee's K1 interview in Nigeria.
  6. Thanks! I meant to reply directly to this question. So along with the I-134 I also send the IRS transcripts, statement from the Bank, etc for my fiancee to bring to the Interview?

  8. I have a question. I got notice the NVC sent the "K1 visa petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria". So we're getting ready to complete the DS-160 application form, but I'm not sure where to send / file the !-134 form. The I-134 instructions simply say to visit their website www.uscis.gov/1-134 (which doesn't tell me anything) or "visit the USCIS Contact Center at www.uscis.gov/contactcenter to connect with a USCIS representative for the most current information about where to file". When you call the USCIS Contact Center, it keeps saying "if you continue to ask for a Representative, I will have to end the call" so I'm kind of stuck/lost what to do at this point.
  9. I'm sorry if someone else already made a comment or asked about this, but I'm relatively new to this site. I saw the post from USCIS a long time ago at this Link: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/reducing-processing-backlogs I wonder if this will help any of us who filed this long ago, or it will only help others in the future?
  10. I'm a US Citizen born and raised here. I visited Nigeria in September 2021 when we were engaged. I filled out the I-129F petition for her in November 2021 and I received the receipt with Case Number right away. It was assigned to the California Service Center. I'm waiting for that approval so we can continue by submitting the DS-160 and she applies for the K-1 Visa. Since May 2022 the Case Processing Time was showing 13 months. I forgot when, but recently it started showing 14 months. As of beginning of November I believe it started showing 15 months, and now toward the end of last month the Case Processing Time even shows 15.5 months. It's been 1 year and almost crossing the 13 month mark now. Status still only shows "Case Was Received". I hoped she could get the Visa, come here and we get married by the end of this year, but now it seems impossible that will happen. I'm told there's nothing else I can do except wait. According to their post at: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/reducing-processing-backlogs times are supposed to improve, but they seem to be doing the opposite
