  1. Hello fellow Eorzean Me and my fiance also met through FFXIV! answering your question, we did not include anything game related to our case, accept for mentioning that we met on an online game on the I-129F form. Remember, we are versed in the FFXIV world because we play it, but for people who don't it just doesn't have any importance, plus ingame we use usernames, not our real names which any ''ingame proof of relationship'' wouldn't tie to our real identities . Include real life proof to your case instead, like dated pics taken together in person, screenshots of your video calls, text messages, dms, call records, plane tickets, receipts of accommodation if any, etc etc.
  2. Hello, Following this thread. We got approved just a few days ago and awaiting news from NVC with the case number, then I will schedule my appointment with the Embassy in Naples. Hoping it doesn't take too long 🤞
  3. Hello, We just received our NOA2 after 289 days, we are so happy. I have some questions though please. If anyone could help me out I would be so grateful. I know my fiancé the petitioner has to fill in the I-134, does he need to mail it to me after he fills it in or can he just scan it for me? Do I need the I-134 filled in in order for me to be able to go ahead and do the I-160 online? I booked my flight for February a while ago to go and see my fiancé in the US, if by some miracle the interview is done before then and I get the K-1 visa, can I not use it and use my ESTA as normal and then use the K-1 visa with the sealed envelope later within the 6 months time frame that I have for moving? there's no way I will be able to move by February unfortunately. If not, can I ask the Embassy not to schedule my interview before February? as the flights are non refundable. What are the original docs that my fiancé needs to give me for the interview? and which can be scans only? For the interview, do I need a copy of the I-129F form that we sent to USCIS, as unfortunately we forgot to make a copy of it before we mailed it out.
  4. Hello, I had no records of what vaccinations I had, so I went to a private clinic and got a serology test for the listed vaccines that we are required to have. Turns out I'm only missing one, which I will take sometime this year. I'm going to take with me to the interview my serology test results, and I will ask my doctor to give me an official record of the missing vaccine that I took and present all that at the interview. I believe this will be sufficient but as others said you can take the required vaccines at any time before you apply for the AOS, as in reality the vaccines are required for AOS, not to get the k-1 visa (excluding the covid one that you need for travelling in the first place).
  5. Hello, I'm the beneficiary and my fiancé wrote ''unknown'' in the related fields regarding my estranged father as I only know his name, surname and birthday, but nothing else, not even if he's still alive. I can't tell you if there was an issue because we filed just about 2 months ago, so still early for any RFE's but hopefully it will be accepted as a suitable answer as it the truth and no other way to answer it. Fingers crossed 🤞
  6. Hello, As I understand it, the sponsor must earn 125% annually from the poverty guidelines to qualify for the affidavit of support for the k-1 visa, so more than 24,650k annually? Can someone please explain how does it work exactly? Do they take in consideration the debts, loans, and child support payments of the sponsor if he is divorced and has a child from a previous marriage and deduct those from the annual income sum? Do they take in consideration if the beneficiary has a sum of money from a previous property owned and that was sold? Would that qualify for self support?
  7. Thank you for your response. What if we get a mortgage together? me and my partner are planning on buying a home together as soon as we can once I move there.
  8. Hi all, I often heard about the limbo state after one has moved over to the US, got married and have applied for their AOS. I am wondering what are we allowed to do during this period of time. Maybe people who are going through it can shed some light. Can we do the below whilst waiting for our AOS? Buy a car Apply for a driving license (Oklahoma in my case) Open a bank account Buy property or land Work Have a medical insurance (not job-related if working isn't possible)
  9. Thank you. Does he need to write a separate letter explaining in short what happened and why etc? I read online somewhere that it might be best but I would like to know your opinions? He also had a graffiti offence when he was 15 yrs old, but it has been removed from his records so there's no paperwork to provide. Does he just needs to mention it on the I-129f form?

  11. Hello, Please anyone knows, if a Certificate of Non-Appeal is good to present as proof of divorce? clearly states in it that I am divorced, along with the dates etc, and it was issued buy the court. I often see "Divorce decree'' mentioned online, but I think maybe in my country it is not titled in that manner.
  12. Sorry still not familiar with acronyms, not sure what AOS is. We’re about to send our form and packet to USCIS. I know we need to show our divorce decrees. Mine is in my native language so I’m assuming it needs translating otherwise how will they know I’m legally allowed to remarry? But I wonder if it needs certifying or also notarization
  13. Hello, I need to have my divorce decree translated into English. Please can you advise if it needs to be just certified or also notarized? Can anyone do the translation?
  14. Hello, My fiance was charged with assault of the third degree when he was 19 (more than 24 yr ago) due to finding his friend sleeping with his then gf, he pleaded no contest. He did community service and was ''deferred adjudication'' We are in the process to file the form I-129F. Does he need to provide any paperwork related to this? and what are the odds that this will make things more complicated for the k-1 approval? I'm so worried
  15. Quick question. I am working on building the evidence to send along the I-129 form to the USCIS. I was wondering if the copies need to be in colour or is black and white okay? I'm concerned about pictures mostly. TIA
