  1. Yeah that wasn’t on out dq letter. thank you Jeanne
  2. What is the correct method of preventing a timeout occurrence while waiting for nvc to send the case for interview? this is regarding the language that says not to let more than one year pass without contacting nvc
  3. I am in the same boat. Were you able to get any better answer on this? We have the federal one (from the online process) already. But she lived in Durango before and now Tijuana. I thought it said “a police certificate from “any country” the applicant has lived more than 6 months.
  4. Just wondering how much time they give from notice date to interview date. I mean If they gave me 5 days notice I'd still be there just wondering what others are seeing.
  5. Ok thank you pushbrk! I was just double checking that we have everything in order to prevent any delays from happening.
  6. Thank you pushbrk, So on the CEAC site where it gives me the option to “add household member” I do not need to add him? Is that correct?
  7. On a similar topic, should I upload the CBRA into the documents section of the NVC CEAC site? will that help or hurt anything that they can see we have a child together already? Do I also need to add a household member (our son) to the CEAC site? My 864 indicates 3 people, 1 of which is "dependent children under 21", but I didn't add him to the household on ceac..
  8. Be prepared for the unwritten rules. In spite of having clearly demonstrated my presence here in the USA my entire life, along with my name on the foreign birth certificate and me having a lease and living close to the border, the consulate sent us away rejected with conditions that they want photos of before during and after pregnancy. Which were emailed before we even left. Took 60 days more and numerous calls to get the crba. During one of the calls the person I spoke with told me I should have argued more. And because they rejected us on site we couldn’t apply for the passport at the same time. The entire consulate system is run by incompetent people imo.
  9. Is replacement different from additional copy? Does one void the other like a passport?
  10. Thanks all, good to know they won’t keep it. And if we get a date before receiving the additional copy, we are not at a loss.
  11. Nope I’m aware that I have a copy. But thank you. I understand it as it is a duplicate copy of what I have now. Which is also a certified copy.
  12. I was about to apply for copy using form ds 5542, is that not a certified copy? If not what is it? https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/replace-certify-docs/requesting-a-record/replace-amend-CRBA.html
  13. My wife and I have a son who has a CRBA citizenship. He therefore is not on the application nor part of the process aside from being proof of relationship. I only have 1 copy of his CRBA and don't want to give it up to the embassy during the interview. Will a photocopy be sufficient or do I need to request a certified copy, knowing anything she gives them is not going to be returned?
  14. If I am already here can they enter without me?
  15. Can the beneficiary enter on their own or do I need to enter with them?
  16. So I had a search saved on my phone that showed me the most recent interview dates set for a ir1 cr1 visa in mexico. I am noticing that that last one is from June and thought maybe it wasn't updating so I came to the laptop to recreate the search and the interview date to/from doesn't seem to filter anything. The last IV date on my phone shows @robyvic is the last one to get an IV date but on the computer it won't even filter. Search terms are IV date after 1-1-2024 to 01-01-2025 Juarez Mexico IR1Cr1 This search pulls up everything from every year. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
  17. Admin, please lock this topic, I have my answers.
  18. I’ve heard of many people getting their green card faster by simply applying, is that a better route?
  19. I am sponsoring my wife. She will likely enter with a cr1, which means she should be able to become a U.S. citizen after 3 more years from entering. She wants to sponsor her brother to come here as well. Does anyone know what my (as her spouse) liabilities are if she were to sponsor him without me?
  20. I agree. Looking at the data available here for other users, the trend is 8 months from dq until you have a date then it looks to be 2 months out for the actual interview.
  21. Interesting to hear this. Where were you able to find this info please?
  22. The records are in Spanish and the interview with be in Juarez, Mexico so no translation necessary. Thank you pushbrk
  23. Wondering if the vaccine documents need to be translated. Also when does the sponsor need to have the vaccines done by? Is it at the time of interview or entry? thank you all!
