  1. I booked her a flight to DFW with 5 hrs layover. It should be enough time for her.
  2. She's fine but if she uses a wheelchair then she won't have to wait in line.
  3. Coming from Japan she will need to re-check her baggage again just like most USA airports after immigration.
  4. Thank! Good thing I asked before booking. My wife won't know what to do with the shuttle or how to get to the next gate. I'll find something easier for her.
  5. I'm unsure about the same terminal but need to take the shuttle? then I'll find another POE. Thanks!
  6. Guys, my wife is coming over through the POE at Boston Airport. The layover is 3 hours long, will it be enough time to go through immigration with her CR1 paperwork? She will be arriving at 6 pm. I want to make sure before booking her flight.
  7. They will likely call you and your spouse for a phone interview at the same time. If that's the case, my advice is to go over the timeline with her/him.
  8. I guess 30 days to reply to your NOIR has expired. Those are good evidence to submit especially owning land together.
  9. bank account in her country, not the USA. I got the same problem so I had to create a joint account with my wife in Vietnam. FYI, you don't need an SSN, ITIN# is fine but kinda of hard to obtain. So I just created one in Vietnam.
  10. how do you add health insurance when she's not living in the state? A joint bank account would be nice too.
  11. 221g sucks and will delay the process longer. It might go back to USCIS for NOIR, which take another 9-12 months or so. Was your paperwork filed in 2018? that's 6 years and now it's finally ready for an interview?
  12. going back a week before the interview, then take some pictures with family and friends. showing them more pieces of evidence.
  13. I can see why. CO might ask both of them. Such as favorite things, how they met, etc etc to see if they match up with each other. I attended the 2nd interview but it didn't help, so I didn't go back for the 3rd interview.
  14. I didn't attend. are you sure you can't be inside during the interview since you are USC.
  15. They saw all the additional evidence I submitted for my NOIR so I think they already made up their mind before those questions.
  16. They asked 7 questions: 1) How did we meet 2) What does your husband do that you hate the most 3) What is your husband's current medical condition 4) What does your husband like and dislike to eat 5) When was the most recent argument and what was it about 6) Besides the timeline, tell a story only you and your husband know 7) How many times did your husband visit you and the date
  17. 40 pages? You might need to down to 3-4 pages for them to review, if they review before the interview.
  18. I'm not sure if anyone is interested, but I'd like to share that my wife aced her interview yesterday.
  19. I believe there is an option on the USCIS website for you to upload additional docs if it's still at USCIS. As for providing additional evidence at the embassy during the interview, they don't usually take time to review those docs since they have only 10-15 minutes to interview each person.
  20. you can have a party but no marriage certification signed, then it's still not a marriage. yes, you should go back to Vietnam whenever you can and you guys travel together. Keep records and pictures.
  21. I realize this thread is quite dated, but I'm curious if the second interview is less challenging than the first one. The first interview was denied due to insufficient evidence regarding the marriage, leading to its return to USCIS. USCIS subsequently confirmed it and forwarded it to NVC. We are currently awaiting an interview at the consulate. NVC case # will be the same correct?
