    Thanks very much. Was the varicella zoster blood test ordered because you didn't have proof of immunity/vaccine? Otherwise, I think the exam for most people should be cheaper at $463 ($330 medical exam, $116 chest x-ray, and $17 syphilis). When the IMC doctor said that they sent your results to the Consulate on March 23, does that mean that the Consulate already has the results on March 23, or it still takes 5 calendar days (March 28)? Sorry for asking so many questions. It determines if I have to cancel 1 or 2 weeks of appointments to fly back to SG for this. Thank you.

    Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. I guess this authority is necessary as our current non-immigrant visas (TN and O1) will have to be canceled if the officer approves and issues us an Immigrant Visa after the Consulate Interview? However, I also see your point that in the event the Officer decides to DENY our Immigrant Visa following the Interview, they can also cancel our non-immigrant visas at the same time? I wonder what are some grounds for canceling non-immigrant visas though. We have no history of criminal records, and not even a speeding ticket...

    If you're F2A, are you guys affected by the recent retrogression in April 2023 visa bulletin? Are you flying from Canada to Singapore for the interview? How many days are you allocating for the medical, interview, and after interview? 6 months after my DQ in Oct 2022, I have finally received my IL for May 10 2023. I will be in a similar situation as you. Flying from USA to Singapore. But I don't know how long I have to allocate to get these things done, as I will have to use my vacation time...

    Do you know if we are able to bring our own quantiferon gold for TB done recently, and our own blood tests? Thanks. Is IMC Candem the only one that can process e-filing at the moment?

    I don't think my O-1 will ever be revoked given it is considered partial "dual intent". However, it is not clear if my wife's TN will be revoked at the interview, since she has expressed immigrant intent. My sense is that her existing one will not be revoked, but she just cannot renew her TN in the future. I don't know if even lawyers will have an answer to this question, to be honest...

    Hello, can you please update us on your application? I believe your Medical was done on March 10, and the Consulate Interview was scheduled for March 15. Did your medical make it in time for the Consulate interview? Thanks!

    Thank you for your detailed response. Is there a chance that the US Consulate in Singapore could revoke my O-1 and my wife's TN status while we are there, given that we had expressed immigrant intent through AOS? If not, even if our Consular Processing Interview goes poorly, as long as we are allowed to return to US on our existing O-1 & TN to work, we can always restart the I-140 (with premium processing) & I-485 again.

    2 main things preventing us from attending the interview: 1) Interview Letter / DS-260 will be voided/invalid. USCIS has yet to recall the approved I-140 petition from NVC/Embassy given my AOS was filed recently. But by the time my interview comes around, the I-140 petition may have been recalled back to USA. 2) My wife is on a TN visa. Given that we have applied for AOS, I know that she cannot reapply for another TN visa. However, we are not sure if her existing TN visa will be invalid if we leave the country.

    HELP PLEASE. I applied for AOS 1 week after being told that there was “heavy backlog” by the Consulate and they are unable to expedite my case despite very valid reasons. 3 weeks after submitting my AOS/EAD/AP application, I received IL from the Consulate with interview scheduled for May 2023. Am I still allowed to do Consular Processing? I’m really lost… Help? I’m on an O1 visa, and spouse is on a TN visa. Approved I-140. Cheques for I-485 have been cashed.

    Wouldn't it have been better to attend interview and receive a 221g (RFE for medical exam)? That's what Bellez did.

    Yeah they are most likely following that order. It is frustrating that employment based petitions are such low priority for Montreal, and looks like that for Singapore too.
