You will probably get an NVC welcome letter soon, which should be in 2-3 weeks. Then log into CEAC, which is the link they give you, and email with the Case and invoice number. From there, you have to finish three things: 1, DS-260, 2, civil docs, and 3, affidavit of support.
Once you pay Uncle Sam and upload all your required docs, the NVC will give you an email that says Document Qualified (DQ)
After that, it's just a waiting game.
According to https://visawhen.com/nvc, the current NVC case creation time is about 17 days, and the document review time is about seven days.
So, if everything goes smoothly, you are looking at a four-week turnaround time.
Remember that you need an RCMP cert for police records, which is critical here.
