They do but they are also very expensive. I will look for united airlines too as this is mostly what my boyfriend has used. i am curious to see how we will make all this happen - my boxes cannot arrive until I am there and I don’t have a ticket yet as completion for house sale is not on a specific date one can forecast.

hi there! With my lab tests sorted and a couple more documents almost here, my VISA is about to show up in April. So this is a good time to look again at flights for me and my daughter and to see pricing of boxes. I think that after reading the packaging guides from 2019 on this forum Trans Global Express is the best and cheapest. However I am totally confused with their system for quotes and I will have to get into a chat with them. Last year I was able to get a quote but now I am only getting a dimmed page with random numbers. Strange. I am thinking of moving only 20 boxes or so, due to the cost being on average £75 or more each (quote from 2023). Now a quick look at Google flight showed me that If I traveled this week I would be paying £200 to fly to the USA. However in June we are talking about minimum £800 each. We can't move until my daughter's GCSEs (May 23rd) and also my house sale must be completed if possible so I won't have issues with last minute pull outs etc. If you have any suggestions re. couriers and flights, I am open to listen to everyone. I will be bringing documents, clothes, no furniture or heavy items, photographs etc. I cannot put all the important stuff in a single suitcase. I also have 2 full frame cameras - they are heavy and expensive and I don't dare putting them in a ship for 2 months. thanks for your suggestions!

I think so, the only original they asked for were certificates, criminal records ètc.

I Had mine two days ago. You are standing in a booth and see the officer through a glass with some space where to pass documents. Your DS 160 has already been seen by every other officer but this last one will still ask for it. he will also ask you in order for many documents such as the tax red turn, police certificate ètc. i was there with a large bunch of documents but he asked for a fraction of what was in the list. i was then directed to sit and wait for another officer. after a while I saw her, and she again asked me for documents, told me that I was supposed to being my fiancée’s documents too, which I didn’t know (divorce in original) and asked me for my original police certificate, of which I only had a certified copy, which she refused. i am pretty sure they saw all they wanted at different stages. Also, there is no point in arguing with them that ‘the letter said this, or the website said that’, as they are not interested. I brought lots more proof of income just in case but it was not needed.

Courier Selection big problem - where is DX?
Dragonsarereal replied to Dragonsarereal's topic in United Kingdom
Okay I now have an update which might be useful for others in the future. this morning I received a call from DX. I don’t know if they called me because I sent a pleading message to them yesterday, or because on the embassy website, under courier, I pressed SEND documents two days ago, so now they got in touch. The officer explained that the strange name that appeared in my invoice is a company that works with DX for the embassy. So their location does not matter because I just drop my documents to any DX in my area. So that was great news and I have not lost £42. She explained that all I need to do is to print the instructions and authorisation I found in the website when I pressed SEND, and take them with me. however, when I went to the embassy site, under my Status which is SEND, I was no longer able to retrieve or see anywhere those instructions which I remember were in a particular layout and maybe had barcodes. what I did a couple of days ago, I was on a call with my boyfriend and he asked me to go press that button (SEND) so I would get the instructions. at that point the page appears with lots of bold text. I copied and pasted all the text into a Pages document ‘just in case’. I then closed the website page. i didn’t realise that after closing it I was going to lose my only chance to view the instructions in the original format and I cannot remember exactly what was there. my plan now is to read the instructions super carefully because they do ask to specifically print only certain pages, which do not correspond in number to the pages on the A4 Pages document, if it makes sense. so if any of you has already done this, do you remember if the pages to take to the couriers had some bars, QR codes or similar? In which case I am in trouble again 😂 Thanks! -
Courier Selection big problem - where is DX?

you are right, my issue is now how to cancel the older courier that I signed up with (which is 3 hours away from my home town) so I don't pay twice. The Norwich one, yes I can just show up, half an hour trip is doable. I like your sensible thinking! -
Courier Selection big problem - where is DX?
Dragonsarereal replied to Dragonsarereal's topic in United Kingdom
most certainly. I called months ago and nobody had a clue of the embassy, They passed me from person to person and there is only a central number for the whole nation, what a joke! If I don't hear by next week I will be driving there and asking many questions... -
Courier Selection big problem - where is DX?
Dragonsarereal replied to Dragonsarereal's topic in United Kingdom
Sooo....I chose the passport return from their website months ago. It was 100% DX. But the INVOICE I received states a different name (Maybe they operate under subcontracting with DX). Now my visa was technically refused (approved pending doing something) because I need to provide 3 documents. So now I came back to the realisation that my chosen courier is miles away. In their email asking me for further documents they state 'Courier: DX Group' and in their information they state, ' This certificate authorizes [name] to use the designated CSRA courier to deliver supporting visa application documents to the United States London Consulate free of charge. This certificate is valid at a limited number of DX Group locations. Please refer to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/information/courier for a list of DX Group locations that will accept this certificate. Applicants or third parties can go to any of the DX authorized drop-off locations and drop their documents at no cost.' Now when I checked the embassy site there is NO INFO on which one will authorise this. Instructions; gather documents, then Travel to one of our authorized courier locations. 3. Place your visa applications documents and the second page of this certificate into a courier envelope 4. Present the first page of this document along with the envelope to the courier agent. At this point I am more confused. I cannot tell if my local DX will accept this. I sent a message this morning and they have not responded. -

see, that is my issue, I most certainly got the courier from the embassy site. And then I received an invoice from a strange company name. I will now go to see if there is anyway of changing the courier straight from the embassy site. For example if I moved from London to Scotland during the visa process, I could not be expected to drive to London just to give a document? -
Courier Selection big problem - where is DX?

When I first registered with the Embassy they presented me with a small list of couriers. The one in Norwich was not found anywhere and when I tried to call every single company with that name or similar, including DX they had NO CLUE of what I was talking about when I mentioned embassy and passports (Despite them being clearly advertised as a service on their homepage) So out of desperation I opted for a random courier from the embassy site and clicked on them, paid extra for collection as they were 3 hours away and sat there wondering why no courier is available in my area. The courier I chose, sent me an invoice under the name 'Information Services Consulting Ltd. They are 3 Horus away and after a long search today I found out they are a legal entity with no website, nor email or contact number. So I just arranged a sign- for tracked letter to be delivered in 24 hours to them, so I can communicate about having a refund as I won't be using their service. Italy comes into this as I am Italian and I have lived for well over 6 months there. The embassy wants a police certificate for each country where we have lived for 6 + months. I hope this makes sense now, sorry! I have since sent an email to the Italian police offices who deal with certificates, and a text message to the Norwich DX. I will now go to the Embassy site to see if by any means I can change courier from there. My hope was that since DX is nation wide they should simply switch office and keep the payment. But as the invoice came from a different name, this is confusing and I wonder if they subcontract other people (they often use other companies to deliver) -

yes, I have now written a letter to my previous courier to try to get a refund. And I will talk to this new one and see if the embassy accepts the change. meanwhile I sent an email to the Italian office to get precise instructions on how much to pay and where as things can go wrong with international mail. What a day... I will be chatting with DX - but when I did before (not sure which website, it was November) nobody had a clue of what I was talking about. -

so I found the website, still impossible to talk to anyone, now I wish to cancel the previous paid for courier but for the life of me I cannot find their website and I did pay for the full service. I have searched for hours and although legally they exist, there is NO way I can find them, contact them, email them, they don't appear to be on any website so I don't know how to get a refund. Yes! Incredible - the site must have been down when I did search for it as I spent hours locating every single company with that name. Will check today as because of this I registered with one three hours away months ago -
Hi there, so all documents and the extra documents are to go via courier. I registered but for the life of me I cannot work out where is DX? In the list they do not provide a phone number, website or email address. Also when I looked up DX in Norwich (Closest to me) I could not find that company, I called several companies with similar name and they had no clue. So how do I drop my documents to DX if DX does not exist? thanks Courier Selection details Courier: DX Group Address: (MINE) Please gather the documents below for each applicant listed on this page and bring them to the consular interview.

Hello there, I had so many questions and now I can answer them... Medical - very easy to get lost getting there using MAPS or Waze. Do check very well in advance or you will be going in circles! Our medical was great, staff was friendly and efficient, we didn't wait too long and chatted with all the doctors. I was congratulated on my way out and all was good. However five days letter a panel doctor called me to inform me that sadly my X ray showed lung scarring, which could be Tuberculosis related, so I had to return to London for 3 days in a row to do a sputum test. They would them culture in a lab the spit for 8 weeks and IF the results were positive for TB I would have to go through therapy for it. As I am fit and healthy I was in a great shock. I returned to London straight away and I tried my best to produce something from my lungs. It was tough, LOL. Then I scheduled our interview at the Embassy. It was scheduled for today, but last week I received an automated letter telling me that if I still wanted to get married, I had to show up with a new affirmation we are both free to marry and willing to. Meanwhile I went to my doctor, who visited me and found me to have 100% oxygen, and perfect breath. She sent me to the Norwich hospital for new X rays. They came back absolutely normal and the consultant could not understand why the London medical panel doctor thought that I had 'fibrosis of the lungs with retraction and minor volume loss'. I had zero issues, and my X ray was almost the same as my teen's. I actually asked for the image to the visa medical and they asked for £40 to give it to me. I though it was mad, they say in their website that everything is included, and the X ray is also included, so if it is, why cannot I have it? I employed Gemini (AI) to write a super polite letter pointing out this and yes, they agreed 'in this occasion' to wave the fee. So I got my image as a DICOM on a CD. Now DICOM files won't open in anything as they require a specialist software by my iMac would not accept any software - declaring all of them suspicious. The CD could not be opened in any of my four Macs, (Old and new). Nothing. So after talking to VISA medicals they sent me the JPG and also the DICOM file. Surprisingly, the DICOM file opened immediately in Photoshop! Therefore my question is now why am I wasting this 8 weeks as I am healthy? But the team at VISA medical insisted that I have to wait the full 8 weeks, and they follow orders and can't discuss anything. In all this they were helpful and friendly but they did follow policy. The German doctor in particular was really nice, her surname is Shoe work something. She loves Italy and chatted about it with me (I am Italian-born). Anyway interview today. We live in Norfolk so we took a train and after 2 hours we arrived in London Liverpool Street. Do not believe any apps, it look us 35 minutes from the rail station to Vauxhall Tube station and we got the first train and we ran all the way. We arrived at 10:35 at Vauxhall while we were trying to be at the Embassy by 10:35 for the appointment at 11:00. I checked my map a million times but when we arrived and took exit 1, MAP and WAZE took us in the opposite direction and nothing looked like the old Google map images, made when several buildings were not even there. After much walking in circle and finally finding the way to the opposite directions, we ran more and arrived panting at the outside station of the Embassy, 5 minutes before 11:00. The two officers said not to worry, all was going to be fine, and asked for DS -160 for both and the passports. We then went through the second room where they pass your bags through the airport type scanners, asked me to drink some of my water, and let us go. Once inside we showed the same documents and were sent to first floor, turning left and left. We passed hundreds of people queuing for other visas. Hundreds. Very quiet. Clean. The bathrooms by the way are spotless. We sat in airport style chairs looking at the screen and finally a guy called us to give some documents. He took only a FRACTION of what is asked for in the embassy page. I had printed all in copies and he did NOT want any copies! Finger prints etc were taken then we sat for an hour I think. Eventually a lady with a squint invited us both to the booth. So, this lady looked at her screen while asking me the name of my boyfriend and how we met, and after 3 or 4 minutes she said, 'I have no concerns about your relationship'. So that means approved. Yey. Then she came back with a piece of paper and said, you are missing these documents, just send them to us. One was the death certificate of the spouse of my boyfriend, and one his divorce decree. I never knew that I am supposed to present HIS documents on this. I asked why and she said, 'Oh we don't get any documents from the petitioner here' (I thought it was strange) She then stated that despite the website saying clearly that I can present original or certified copies, I cannot present my Italian criminal record equivalent unless it's the original. She did not accept the signed certified copy. So I tried to explain that this is not what the website said, but she said, 'I am not going to stand here and argue with you. You just need to get a new certificate with translation.' So I said thanks and I left, feeling deflated as this means a lot of work, letters, fees, translation fees which all together might cost me £100. Anyway I got 3 emails in which they ask me for thee documents and they send me to their site to click submit and this is what it says below. Oh I forgot to say that I did mention that I was puzzled about my now clear X rays and the officer replied, 'Oh, we don't deal we medical diagnosis here.' So that was it. THEIR panel doctor has the final word. The way back was much easier I must add! I hope this is helpful! Courier-Send Service There are several scenarios in the visa application process that may allow an applicant to provide documentation in support of the application without the need to appear in person at the Consular Section. Instructions on how to print a Courier-In Authorization Certificate will be provided when one of these scenarios occurs during appointment scheduling through this website. The Courier-In Authorization Certificate allows an applicant to send documents using the courier, free of charge, to the U.S. Consular Section.'

well case solved. I asked in an email what to do and they said, 'Oh ignore the letter, don't be concerned, it is sent automatically. Just bring with you an updated declaration you still want to marry and are free to marry.' So I printed that, I went to the interview this morning and they didn't even ASK for it.

Hello all, this morning I received a letter from the Embassy. First of all it took a month to arrive, the date is 23 January and we are in March. Second, again they spelled wrong the address. I live in Dereham and they keep writing DREHEM which does not exist, so for this reason I received everything a month late. Anyway the letter goes, ------- I am lost. I immediately sent my own application at the time of receiving their letter months ago, and had my medical, paid my VISA fees, scheduled appointment, and it says on their website under stats, READY. What am I missing here? Thanks
