My husband joined a group of people who were having their interview and almost all got the yellow missing document paper. The missing document is usually 2022 tax transcripts. Just a warning to anyone who sees this. I am going to need to submit a tax extension form and hope for the best since i haven’t filed yet.
Thank you for sharing.
I'm planning on uploading 2022 tax and any new documents that was expired due to the wait for interview AFTER I receive an interview letter. This should help with avoiding the embassy asking for it.
I heard they like to have everything uploaded
Good luck to all of us

On your timeline I see they gave you an interview in July. So a 5-1/2 month wait from DQ to interview? No updates yet from those with DQ in Feb? I'm looking at transferring my case to Cairo since my wife and I are now in Egypt, but I'm not too excited about a 5 or 6 month wait. And we'll need to prove residence here too, but we can get that if we register the kids in school here.
No updates yet. Hopefully at the end of June or early July we'll get an update. I'll let everyone know when I have any updates on my case status.

Does anybody have any information what date of Documentary qualified cases that they’re looking at right now for CR-1 in Cairo? Last thing I’ve seen about dates is that a Dec 8th DQ got their interview scheduled on March 17th. Please let me know if you have ANY information about CR1 cases in cairo. our DQ was feb 6th, we are so close I think but who knows
I'm with you in the first week of Feb too. I'm not sure where they are at but I hope we hear from NVC soon.

Is K1 typically faster than IR1/CR1 in Egypt? It's seems faster to me 😂. Little jealous not going to lie but still hopeful 🙏🙏

Hi @Beshoy Faridi
Please if you'd share your timeline when you exactly received your interview letter?
If anyone knows on what month the embassy in Cairo is working on.
I think they working on December DQ based on some post I read on Facebook. They finished November 2022 and working on December 2022 for citizens spouse cases. Green card spouse cases take a little longer.
I'm not sure if this the interview letter or the actual interview date so hopefully in 2 or 3 months we'll have a reply soon.
It seems that this stage is really hard to know how long things will take but it's getting faster than during the pandemic days for sure.
If I have anything new I'll let you know here.

For IR1/CR1, you complete DS-260 through CEAC and upload all the required support documents. NVC will review your application and supporting documents. After that if you are missing anything, NVC will provide you a RFE (request for evidence) and you have to upload what they asked for. If NVC is satisfied with your documents, they will give you a "documentary qualified" (case complete).
When you're "case complete", you will get an email with the next step is to register for passport delivery (Aramex/SLS). I did mine and it only shows on bar code because DS-260 was filled already. Make sure you print the confirmation sheet with bar code and also the SLS email confirmation.
In the meantime time, NVC will work with US embassy in Cairo to schedule your date of interview and they will provide you a letter of when your appointment date and what to bring with you for the interview.
FYI I got case complete in February 9th and still waiting for my appointment letter.
I hope this helps
Here is my sheet for reference for CR1

Is this website how you schedule the interview? I haven’t gotten an interview letter but will this help me schedule the interview before that? What is this website for?

Hell everyone,
It's great to hear that Cairo is moving.
Anyone know how long wait for IR1 / CR1 interview after DQ? I received DQ 10 days ago and it feels like a month already 😅
Congratulations to everyone who received their visa and good luck to the rest of us waiting.
Thanks

You should have gotten an email stating you're documentarily qualified (DQ) also inside your message it should say it as well. If you didn't receive anything then NVC didn't review your documents yet. Hopefully within a month from submitted everything you'll get a response.
Also please don't keep submitting new document. The count down will restart.

2022 tax return are not due so I doubt they will ask for it but maybe W2 if it's available
-
I agree login and see what did they write exactly. Maybe 2022 W2 is missing or maybe you only uploaded 2021 tax return and not the past 2019 and 2020, with their W2 and tax transcript. To be honest with NVC they don't harm you when you give them so much supporting documents.

I heard they finished with October so maybe it's down to 5 month average.

hey guys, quick questions, got my 2nd RFE on January 6th, I resubmitted on January 9th, but I added my renewed driver's license a few days ago, please tell me they go by that first resubmission date lol
From what I heard around...the count restart when you submit something
-
Does anyone knows if NVC re-review the accepted documents (with ✅) or they only focus on the RFE submitted documents? Thanks
-
FYI Someone just got DQ who submitted on Jan 7th. Good luck to all of us.
Traveling with renewal i-90 in progress
in Working & Traveling During US Immigration

Hello everyone,
My mother just applied for N-400 naturalization and her greencard will expire next month. I recently heard that once you apply for greencard renewal (i-90) your greencard extends 2 years.
My question is she able to travel to Egypt for a few months with in progress I-90 and expired greencard, or she will run into issues coming back to the United States
I appreciate a speedy response
Thank you
