Hello everyone, My mother just applied for N-400 naturalization and her greencard will expire next month. I recently heard that once you apply for greencard renewal (i-90) your greencard extends 2 years. My question is she able to travel to Egypt for a few months with in progress I-90 and expired greencard, or she will run into issues coming back to the United States I appreciate a speedy response Thank you

Thank you for sharing. I'm planning on uploading 2022 tax and any new documents that was expired due to the wait for interview AFTER I receive an interview letter. This should help with avoiding the embassy asking for it. I heard they like to have everything uploaded Good luck to all of us

No updates yet. Hopefully at the end of June or early July we'll get an update. I'll let everyone know when I have any updates on my case status.

Is K1 typically faster than IR1/CR1 in Egypt? It's seems faster to me 😂. Little jealous not going to lie but still hopeful 🙏🙏

I think they working on December DQ based on some post I read on Facebook. They finished November 2022 and working on December 2022 for citizens spouse cases. Green card spouse cases take a little longer. I'm not sure if this the interview letter or the actual interview date so hopefully in 2 or 3 months we'll have a reply soon. It seems that this stage is really hard to know how long things will take but it's getting faster than during the pandemic days for sure. If I have anything new I'll let you know here.

@Mahmir I noticed your address is set as Aramex address. It that correct? Based on the instructions, it should be your address. Just want to make sure

Here is my sheet for reference for CR1

For IR1/CR1, you complete DS-260 through CEAC and upload all the required support documents. NVC will review your application and supporting documents. After that if you are missing anything, NVC will provide you a RFE (request for evidence) and you have to upload what they asked for. If NVC is satisfied with your documents, they will give you a "documentary qualified" (case complete). When you're "case complete", you will get an email with the next step is to register for passport delivery (Aramex/SLS). I did mine and it only shows on bar code because DS-260 was filled already. Make sure you print the confirmation sheet with bar code and also the SLS email confirmation. In the meantime time, NVC will work with US embassy in Cairo to schedule your date of interview and they will provide you a letter of when your appointment date and what to bring with you for the interview. FYI I got case complete in February 9th and still waiting for my appointment letter. I hope this helps

You should have gotten an email stating you're documentarily qualified (DQ) also inside your message it should say it as well. If you didn't receive anything then NVC didn't review your documents yet. Hopefully within a month from submitted everything you'll get a response. Also please don't keep submitting new document. The count down will restart.

2022 tax return are not due so I doubt they will ask for it but maybe W2 if it's available

I agree login and see what did they write exactly. Maybe 2022 W2 is missing or maybe you only uploaded 2021 tax return and not the past 2019 and 2020, with their W2 and tax transcript. To be honest with NVC they don't harm you when you give them so much supporting documents.

I heard they finished with October so maybe it's down to 5 month average.

It took about 3 weeks to review my RFE so they going fast. Just make sure you submit what they need as soon as possible.

From what I heard around...the count restart when you submit something

Does anyone knows if NVC re-review the accepted documents (with ✅) or they only focus on the RFE submitted documents? Thanks
