  1. Received 60 day email from NVC that file is still at NVC. EB3 DQ May 2022
  2. Sorry I cannot access the sheet. Can you please confirm the DQ date Can you please confirm DQ date
  3. If there is an attorney of record they send the confirmation to the petitioner and attorney. That is what happened in my case. However then I called up NVC because the phone lines were still active and they gave me the information. When I checked with attorney they gave me some excuse that we were busy and we had this in queue bill #######. The attorney was informed 15 days prior in my case before I called NVC
  4. By far montreal is the worst place to have your IV processed from. They are very slow plus the number of AP’s issued by Montreal is just too high. Try your best to get this done from Brazil
  5. Folks anyone who received IL in April, could you please update and provide some ray of hope. Montreal seems to disappoint time and again. I simply fail to understand the deal with Montreal not prioritizing to reduce the EB backlog. Jan 2021 vs Jan 2023 is just not fare to EB.
  6. https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/laws-regs/vaccination-immigration/revised-vaccination-immigration-faq.html
  7. Normally for vaccinations, proof of starting the first dose should be enough for visa purposes. Because some vaccinations have long time frames, example Hep B needs 6 months for all three doses. Also, one important thing to consider is US is stopping all covid 19 restrictions on May 11. Which means they are not asking for travelers for proof of vaccination anymore. So probably CDC may change the guideline for immigrant visa too. But that is wait and watch
  8. Only family moved by one month, EB is still the same as last month
  9. I have a question pertaining to employment letter. So I will be working with the same company that helped me with the TN. So I am already employed with them it’s just that the immigration status changes from non immigrant to immigrant. Does it need to be a employment verification letter or is it just like the first one they provided. Please share some insight
  10. I am a bit confused why MTL has stopped inviting EB2. For Eb2 that went through PERM date of filling of perm is definitely before 15th May 2022( ROW on May bulletin). So technically all of those folks are still current. But Montreal has definitely found a way out with AP. Tons of folks are getting into AP and the time line to get out is between 3 months to more than a year. Some folks are filing WOM to get out of AP.
  11. Yes it is indeed possible and there are folks on this forum who applied and got it too. Remember TN is no different any B1/B2 visa. They are non immigrant visas and its your job to prove to the immigration officer that you have no intent. The fact that you are applying for consular processing itself is great proof that you will return to home country for interview. Carry enough proof of ties to home country and you should be good. Infact there is another forum on VJ where after interview people are in Administrative processing. These are the folks who attended the interview and have now shown clear intent to migrate. Even these folks have travelled to USA after being on AP and expressed intent to immigrate. So TN should be no different. Do your research and have your answers ready.
  12. Apart from police clearance and employment letter for EB applications none of the documents should require a date validity check. All that you submitted to NVC as a copy now needed to be presented in original. That is my opinion though. In my case my spouse and born were born outside canada and we do have original birth certificate and marriage certificates but there is no way for us to get a latest copy from the relevant authorities. We have no ties to that country and no one to help us getting them too.
  13. Not sure how these MONTREAL folks report. For a fact we know folks from this blog as of March 2022 DQ’d and current have started receiving IL. So there is indeed progress. Also the visa stats are showing good numbers in EB category. Probably some countries like India retrogressed so some folks with earlier DQ,d dates do not have a visa available. Probably the next update will be towards the end of April when NVC starts sending the next round of IL
  14. As of April 4, 2023, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in January 2023; most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in November 2022; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in January 2021.
  15. Many congratulations and all the best. I have a question pertaining to documents. I know we have to carry originals and copies of all the docs example: birth certificate, marriage certificate etc. in the post it mentions the VO kept the originals. Do they return the originals post the the interview? Reason is I just have one original of each of these and if I hand this over it will be next to impossible for me to get the original extract again from the respective countries of birth and marriage for me and my spouse. We have no ties back to those places and have not been there in many many years.
  16. Question on recent employment letter: For all those employed by a US employer but on an assignment with a client(IT consultants) do we need to carry a client letter in addition to the employer letter?
  17. Hi @ACC24 I have a question on the police certificate basis this checklist. Initially it was mentioned the PC are valid for 2 years. However this checklist mentions one year. Did you carry a fresh PC for the interview?
  18. Question on medical— once we get the immunity test/ vaccinations done, what proof do we have to carry while going for the medical. Do family doctors provide a letter?
  19. Someone in the forum is EB3 ROW DQ’d March 2022 got IL. So why are we saying only EB1 moved a year?
  20. Congrats and all the best for the interview. Thanks for sharing the good news. I am guessing you are not from healthcare sector else you would have got it much earlier. Do you have any information on getting a new letter from the employer for employment. Do you know what the content on the letter should be. Is it just confirming that they are still ready to employ you or is it just like the initial offer letter when you joined them on a non immigrant visa
  21. You will need to mail the documents. For employment category there is no option to upload
  22. As of March 7, 2023, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in December 2022; most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in September 2022; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in January 2021.
  23. Yes there was someone on this same blog who got his TN renewed when waiting for IVP. experiences can vary depending upon the person you meet. It’s best to do it a major border crossing at around the first half of the day. Call the border to ensure there is a NAFTA Agent present. They are more experienced then the regular folks. I’ve heard the airport too is a good place to apply. I had a bad experience at Niagara the first time round. Was rejected for a document that was not needed. Returned with the document this time at buffalo and got hold of a nafta agent and that guy did not even look at that document for which the first guy rejected me. The safest option is to get a renewal done from within US via USCIS but during the renewal process you cannot leave US. The way to expedite is using premium processing and the renewal will be done in 15 days. However the cost is way more. The renewal fee is approx 400$ and premium processing is 2500$. If you do it at the border it’s approx 70$ but the risk is really high depending upon who you meet.
