  1. I've heard that some folks that are selected get to know that they won a certain year when they didn't even knew they won or remeber that they applied at all, and that might be like from 5 or 8 years ago from what I've seen on Youtube when they arrived on the interviews. So this simply means that U.S government saved the Diversity VISA lottery data longer than the year and fiscal period that the applicant applied for. For example the data for the 2023 lottery which application period ended in 2022 was stored up until septemeber of this year. But doesn't seem like that when you hear what some Youtubers have been told in their interview. And when I ask the the DV lottery VISA category on their kentucky email - they just refer me to their page. I would like to know more about this, how long our data is stored and saved. With data I refer to the questions that needs to be filled in in the application process form.
  2. The photo must be 300 DPI and a minimum 600x600 or 1200x1200 maximum, and in file size it can't be more than 240 KB. Those that can't abide by these rules will be Immediately and automatically disqualified after just sending in the application. I appealed and got acquitted from serving 4 months in prison, I also got acquitted in one of the charges. Instead I got probation for the 3 charges I was sentenced for, I must go and follow the probation rules for at least 1 year. I don't think this is good, tho some say I should be glad since I escaped prison time. Not sure it will help if I win or for other visa's tho, since the charges are still there, unlawful threat, harassment and resisting arrest.
  3. The Maximum is 240 KB, and it must be in JPG format. But are there any minimum KB requirements for the photo? 50 KB 70 KB or 85 KB? Or does anything below 240 KB work?
  4. I will answer YES and be truthful. Because they will find out through screening anyways. I am not a lier. Why will you give me that point? Acquitted does not mean you have never been arrested if you now were arrested. Acquitted means you are not guilty of those crimes you got convicted for in the court if your appeal proves otherwise. I don't really know about Swedish police reports... what it will say about anything if I get acquitted. How do you know I will be inadmissible? It isn't felonies. Do they just reject people because of small misdemeanors?
  5. According to US law as well. If you are acquitted, you are NOT guilty.
  6. I do take it extremely seriously. But some people say it is completely over, if you read their responses
  7. Hahaha, funny guy calm down man, If I get acquitted, then there is nothing they can do really. Acquitted means NOT guilty ! So in terms of LAW, it surely means I did NOT do it. Law is law, and opinions are OPINION. It is not impossible to not get denied, but they also understand people make mistakes. And my sentence isn't really that much,
  8. What is later in the process? What is the process after DS-260?
  9. Funny you delete a completely valid comment, where I explain my crimes and even erase the words. I use those words to describe the seriousness of the crimes, not to use them against anyone. How has that even something to do with someone not wanting to keep something "family friendly"? The political correctness of some forums are really weird when it comes to moderation.
  10. None of my crimes are really mentioned there. Those are hard crimes. Also, do you know where in Sweden I can hire an American lawyer for this types of stuff? What kind of lawyer do I need? Some just work with student visa's and work visa's. I do appreciate your time to respond to my questions ! But, again, I get selected, should I just write on the DS-260 that the case is currently pending, because of an appeal? So they know it when I will have my interview? I will probably go for an B2 Visa anyway. But since the 260 needs to be filled out I would like to know what to put in the crime section, because the results comes out in soon 1 week and my appeal is 1 month after. So what can I write there since I yet don't know the full outcome of the sentence?
  11. I've just heard that they are tough on Felonies, rape, murder, drugs and those kind of stuff. In the end, many people do errors in their lives you know. My crimes are very small, and if one is honest I don't think it should be a problem. But yes, I will hire a lawyer, the thing is, I've heard that DS-260 form needs to be filled in pretty soon after being selected, I don't know why, but it seems like everyone is saying it is important to fill that one out fast.
  12. This is not really true from what I've heard on Youtube and people that actually committed those types of crimes. Don't be mad bro.
  13. It is not American. I wrote "American" instead of their ethnicity. Their Ethnicity is something else, it was just an example.
  14. You are linking stuff that has nothing to do with my case what so ever. How will I even have problems if I get acquitted? If I get acquitted then that is another thing. It was not terror threats. The second link you are referring to came to law about 1 and a half year after my latest crimes, and 2 and a half year of my first 2 crimes against the journalists. The evidence isn't 100 percent either. So If I get acquitted there should not be a problem, otherwise I would like to see some sort of proof of that. But those links does not really tell me anything so far. I've heard people with 6 month sentences getting visa. Also, third link? What has that even to do with my case I am asking about? I was not spying LAMO.
  15. Can you even have an immigration lawyer for DV lottery cases? The crimes: Threats through email to a journalist Harassment - through Instagram to another journalist violent resistance - when I was being pulled over by cops threat against a public official - in this case, the same cops that pulled me over, because they "felt" threatened by my actions. In conclusion they sound serious, but yet tho they are 4 crimes, I got 4 months, these were my first crimes, happened in 2021/2022
  16. I have 2 questions which I hope you can be able to answer please! Maybe this one should be in the legal section, I don't know, otherwise a moderator can move it there, thanks! I have not got selected, and this is mostly a thing I should worry about if I do of course, but I still would like to ask you folks. On the Travel State Gov site, it tells us the following: ( Selected entrants are encouraged to complete the online DS-260 application immediately to schedule an interview appointment at the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate. ) – I have an ongoing appeal in the court after I got sentenced to 4 moths in prison, last year. It is dated 4th of June, I will get the whole sentence somewhere between 18th and June the 20th. Will there be a problem if I would wait till then to fill in the DS-260 form? I am asking because I don’t know yet if I will be acquitted in some of the offenses/violations, and thereof don’t know what to put in the crime section of the DS-260 form. I live in Sweden. Second question, do you think it would be a problem with this sentence if I would win? Everyone tells me my sentence will get reduced since it was my first crimes, I am indicted of 4 crimes, not so serious really, but still… I’ve heard that if it is under 6 months, there is usually not a problem, but that can also depend on how long time ago it was or so? Best regards!
  17. Ok. Well I hope you are right here too. I will just stick with it. But what can we do in the end anyway...
  18. Btw. I forgot to ask, now I don't really think you might really be able to answer this one... But do you think the chance of me getting rejected or if the system just rejected me already just because it maybe thought I was going to do a duplicate application, so do you think it threw away my legit entry, because it might think I was going to do a duplicate you know, or do you think it understands that I refreshed or messed with the FORWARD and BACK buttons on my browser? I've tried to contact KCC on their mail, but those working there only give answers per a form or so, they don't really answers people's question, even tho it is really people answering. Very weird.
  19. Thanks for the reply! So can I be sure that nothing went wrong and that I still have a chance to win? Because again, according to what I said.. I first refreshed, then the "Unexpected Page Request & Resume Entry" came up, I clicked on Resume, afterwards I got that message that > Duplicate entries will not be accepted. I just hope it is as you say, that it blocked it to happen, and not that it mean that it now blocked both of them.
  20. Hi. I just completed the DV lottery form. After I was done I got this first attached picture up telling me my application was sent in successfully. I printed it down in PDF, and then I refreshed the page, which then the next attachment comes up and I get scared as hell! Like #######!?! I click on RESUME ENTRY, and get this message: The information submitted has not been accepted because it matches a previous entry in our records. Individuals may only submit one entry per DV period. Duplicate entries will not be accepted. So what now? Is it game over for me? Or is this common? Because all I did was to refresh after I had filled it out and printed it.
  21. You clearly didn't get what I meant. I meant that if I want to mess with you, I can just go to your Facebook profile, and edit one of your pictures, and the apply for the diversity lottery. Then the photo system will find your application duplicate, there is no need to have your passport or ID, just another photo of you. What I mean with passport is that, it is here the system can know which one of your applications are real, and the only way is to identify with an ID that no one of your close one has of you.
  22. Sorry for the inconvenience in my last thread with the same title, moderators can delete that one since it's not possible to reply anyway. ________________ So again to my point and question. How do they even think? So there is no legitimate way for people to actually confirm that (they are they) if someone wants to use their photos and mess around with them? I mean I can easily ruin for many of my friends and they for me as well, by just make another application with some of my photos, and then the system will count them as "duplicate"? But with passport the system can still know that my application was real based on some sort of real ID or Passport. Also, they should skip the photo requirements until the end results anyway. But can someone explain how this isn't complete foolish? Its completely corrupt.
  23. Is it possible to apply with my brother in Oct/Nov this year for the fiscal year 2025? Are the chances greater to win if there are several entrants that apply together? I mean if he gets selected and I don't, does this mean that I also won since we applied together in one entrant? You have to be family right and not friends?
