  1. Well, I didn't know this but for the I-134A you enter a land port of entry...through Mexico. Which my wife needs a visa for, great. Nvm, just saw they give an option through an air port of entry
  2. Btw, just to update we applied last week of September, still waiting to hear back we're still at "case received". I've seen experiences of people still waiting since January 😕 I'm just hoping for the best here
  3. We're already on that filing the I134, I'm hoping it gets accepted before February.
  4. I've already tried contacting my senators with the Amsterdam consulate situation initially and they said they can't help. 😔
  5. I wish my crystal ball worked 8 months ago then 🙃 back to step 1 for me
  6. Yeah and in 4 months, me and my wife will be considered overstaying in the country we're living in now.
  7. And in the realistic chance that February (4 months from now) comes around and no approval?
  8. Made the request, they asked for proof of NL consulate saying no, sent that, and now Frankfurt just simply said no... I'm extremely annoyed...Idk what these embassies expect me to do.
  9. I thought USCIS would consider a sister less than a spouse, I've read that the relationship to the person is a factor in the i-134?
  10. I just realized that to file the I-134 "you must physically be in the United States"...back to step 1 😔
  11. I thought they raised it to 30k a month per country? Well I know Nicaraguans don't need a visa for the schengen zone, but that's only a tourist stay for 90 days. I see that the I-134 doesn't have a min income requirement for sponsors, could I just put $0 to simplify it? It also states that apparently USCIS will not factor the income requirement (correct me if I'm wrong on this). "Avoid going back to Nicaragua at all costs", I'm trying, especially since my wife doesn't even know the country.
  12. Dutch immigration told me no, DAFT is for business people and they're getting stricter
  13. I was looking at that, but would that interfere with any DCF request?
  14. We're just residents of the Netherlands not citizens, we don't have full EU status either. I know US immigration takes time (I state that it's 1-2 years for an I-130) so this is a bit insensitive considering you probably didn't read that this is an immediate situation, I didn't plan this 6 months/1 year/or 2 years ago... I looked into this and it's about 20k per person, plus immigration fees?, and you have relocation costs like buying new furniture which is also a pretty penny. Would've been great if I had 50k stored, but alas, I'll still look further into this, thank you!!!
  15. I have, I don't have more than 50k stored and then some to move again to the US. They aren't cheap 😅
  16. I didn't know DCF was possible to apply for other consulates, this is what I was looking for! Thank you! I'll try Frankfurt...do you think London would help too? Do you also think I should explain that Netherlands said they can't handle DCF cases? @Dashinka @Marieke H @manyfudge Have you been successful with Frankfurt? Then it makes no point to move and I have to stay in one place, but we don't have a place to go 🙃
  17. I just browsed around the USCIS website and found this - https://www.uscis.gov/CHNV I assume my wife can apply for this as it counts for her? If approved and allowed to enter with this document she can adjust status in the US? I can't find anything on processing times though?
  18. There's places that my wife can travel and visit no doubt, but as you know it's harder to find a place to 'stay' and 'reside' as for the I130 embassies around the world require a valid residence permits (6 months+), background checks of where you've resided. How can I request DCF in her home country when she has no address or time there? I haven't thought of this, but I'll try this for sure. She's has a valid B visa and has traveled in/out of the states several times, TPS is abandoned once she left the US
  19. Okay, then, if I file and preparing for the worst...what do I do when it's January 15th and my residency and essentially my job is being on the line?
  20. I explained the whole shortage of time situation with my job relocation in the email, yes. It wasn't more than 2 paragraphs as that's at max how long a DCF request should be. I don't understand what you mean, she doesn't live in her home country.
  21. Right because the US extends tourist visas too more than 10% of the time As I said as well earlier, I have a job that's not willing to do more than they already have. I go any route of what you're suggesting, I need a job to prove I can live there, a job which I won't have, and the income of my wife will not cover Dubai living or the 50k Barbados is asking. I wish I was Mr. Moneybags to be spending all this money. She has a masters already, anymore education requires money saved and sadly the EU doesn't pay enough money to save. None of this is realistic. You say file the I130 what happens on the final week of our residency and still no news, which is very likely...what then?
  22. Her nationality doesn't offer any working holiday visas, study is out of the question (she's long done with education), work and study in another country isn't exactly possible either as the school year started already and finding work in another country isn't exactly a cake walk in the park when you're from a "undesirable" country. Barbados and Dubai "nomad" visa is 12 months...not enough time to process an I130. She doesn't have a Canadian visitor visa...even then max stay is 6 months...not enough time to process an I130. Every option is exhausted. I'm at a loss so is she, this whole situation isn't great.
  23. Elsewhere...where...that's the thing I want to know too. You say Canada is offering stays for over 1-2 years? Where\s this information cause I'd love to know then... Her nationality is from a country that takes their citizens passports, it's not safe, she doesn't know the country, she's never been back, she doesn't have anyone there...hell...she doesn't even speak the language fluently. There is no 3rd country that's possible for either of us to stay in for a suggested 1 or even 2 years while the I130 is being processed. I've tried looking...the max she can stay in most places is 90 days and even then you can only file the I130 in a country of residence, 6 month stay is not a residence. This is a 0.01% chance case, I know, but I doubt the embassy would re-consider DCF for us again under "humanitarian grounds" considering they don't care enough already.
  24. We never filed a I130 since we were hoping for DCF to come through. There genuinely is no other option, I've tried looking at other countries too. The residency is tied to me, the minute my work finishes here (February) her residency is automatically cut and so is mine. It's not possible to delay my job move, it was supposed to be done and settled as they thought DCF would come through as well. They can't push it anymore. The only options I can think of is her coming to the states on visitor and settling (trust me I know it's not a good thing to do, but what other humanly choice is there). I have proof emails that I've sent to the embassy and the senators response of the embassy saying they're "too busy" to handle any DCF case, maybe there's something to be had considering this? @Mike E She was under TPS and had always had status from 2 months being in the states until she left years ago.
