  1. If interested, we sent everything back and it was received by USCIS on 3/4/2024. We just got approved - on April 2024!
  2. At last! We have finally been approved, just short of 2 years since filing. I logged into my USCIS account yesterday to read that our case was approved (no interview). Also, it now mentions that new cards have been ordered. We are over the moon!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Hello! Was looking for any experiences post pandemic, as processing times have increased so much. For context, on Feb 21st we received RFE's for medicals, as the medical we submitted in 2022 has expired. This was the first we heard since our AOS case (employment based) got transferred to the NBC in Nov 2022. We completed the medical (incl labs tests and additional vaccinations) on March 2nd and have send it by FEDEX to the field office, to arrive on 3/6/2024. I am really hoping we hear back soon, so if anyone has some experiences with this, please feel free to share. The field office processing the RFE will be Albuquerque. Thank you!
  4. Hello everyone! So last week we received letters from USCIS in the mail, asking for RFE of medicals. Big hooray! First news from USCIS since Nov 22. We (family of 5) all scrambled and got everything done in 1 week (Flu shots, extra vaccines and lab results) and just sent everything back to the filed office on Saturday. Fingers crossed that it won't be long now. #hopeful
  5. Hello everyone! I filed for a AOS ~20 months ago, from an L1-A visa. I am currently in the early stages of setting up a business (e-commerce), which I'll initially run next to my current job, as a side gig. I consulted a lawyer, to understand if there are any implications to my pending GC and the lawyer informed me that as my AOS request is tied to my L1A, I am fine to set up the company but I should not have revenue until I have the actual GC and should remain passive. She didn't get more into the specifics of what passive vs active was, and if active would just be making revenue. Here's where I am at: I have filed for an LLC and this has been set up I have completed my business plan (yes, I know that this changes all the time) and have done a ton of research I also have identified a number of wholesalers from where I'll source products from What I would like to start on is working on the website. For this, I will obviously need to invest money, but I will also need to get products, so I can take pictures. However, to obtain products, I need a business license and a reseller permit, because the products I need can't be purchased through normal channels. My concern is that filing for a business license and reseller permit can be considered active, even though I am obviously not going to be selling anything until I have my GC. Is there anyone here who may have some more information on this topic?
  6. Hi! I'm just crashing this party here as I am a May 2022 filer and was looking at some other cases with the same FO as I have. Also, I think the May AOS filers isn't getting much traction as a lot of people have received their GC by now (but not me). Where can I see the "MyProgress" tab? Mine just has this: Thanks very much!
  7. Hello everyone, First of all, happy new year! Not sure if this topic is still active as it seems a lot of people have had their GC approved and issued; congrats to you all. Unfortunately, we are still waiting and there has been 0 movement on our cases since our I-140 was approved (Oct 2022) and our I-485's were transferred to another office (Nov 2022). According to the lawyers I should look at the processing times for our field office (Seattle) for an indication, and in December 2023 the time was met for 80% of cases to be completed - just not ours. In December I reached out to our congresswoman to help with an enquiry and they got back to me within a few days with the answer from USCIS, which was their standard copy/paste response. In the meantime, someone I know with the same nationality and L1-A starting point, who filed 3 months after us, got their GC within 9 months. I don't really have a question, just wanted to come here as I am feeling sorry for myself and wonder if we will ever see this GC being approved. I know that 19.5 months doesn't seem long, but it is for someone who is keen to look for another internal job and was told 12 months ago the best thing now is to sit tight, it's been hard to remain patience. For those of you in a similar boat, may 2024 bring you all good health and good news from a green card perspective! C
  8. Hello everyone! I just logged onto my USCIS account and something's off. There is nothing underneath each case. Anyone else has the same issue?
  9. Hello everyone! So here we all are, (nearly) 1 year since filing your I-485 (employment based). On our side, we've had the I-140 approved as well as our EAD. We didn't file for AP, as we have an L1 and L2 status until Sept 2024. Since filing, our case and processing time moved as follows: May 2022: Nebraska, processing time 24 months May 2022: Nebraska, processing time 18.5 months Oct 2022 transfer to NBC: processing time unknown Feb 2023 transfer to Albuquerque: processing time 20 months Apr 2023 according to the agent I should select my local FO for processing time, which is currently 25.5 months (Seattle) So I guess (almost) 1 year down, 1 year to go.................. Any employment based adjustment I-485 filers who have had better success stories? I notice this group contains a lot of family based adjustments applicators, so was wondering if there is a difference in processing times between the two. Good luck to everyone out there and hang in there!
  10. @Hardship waiverThat's such amazing news, congratulations!
  11. Hello everyone, Is it just me or have the processing times gone up again? A few weeks Nebraska Service center was at 18 months, now it's at 25! Same for the field office we're at right now, went up to 25 as well! And the field office in our area is pretty much the same. Jeez Louise!
  12. That's awesome news @Edward_Jaqueline, congratulations! I hope you celebrated in style ;-) I have a question for you, if you don't mind.... How were you notified? Did you discover this yourself by checking your case online? Or did you receive an e-mail? Just curious! Thanks in advance! Caroline
