Yes i have to wait until my case is received in Bogotá, but i dont have to wait for welcome letter to schedule my interview, when my case says "ready" i can do it (at least in my embassy).

I got my RFE today!!! OMG OMG I am crying I am so happy! I never thought this day would come!!!! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers, really thank you!
 
I have informed mail so I will know exactly when the RFE arrives. I have a packet of info ready to overnight to them. Hoping for fast turn around!!

We just got the approval. After I checked the app thousand times today, finally I saw the approval. We are sooo happy 🥳
NOA 1 is dated October 2. And we tried to expedite a few times because the fiancé is in active duty and stationed overseas but the requests denied immediately.

Don’t give up hope. We’re almost there. I had to tell myself this week to try to relax and just let the time pass and after a relatively short amount of time, we have many many years ahead to be with our loved ones. It’s extremely difficult but we’re almost there 🙏🏻

Thank you for this great info! Also seeing so few denials helps calm my irrational fears of a denial for no reason. I guess that’s what so much waiting can do

It looks like USCIS has started opening previously untouched cases in October.
Most of the untouched activity is in late December
and I am starting to feel bad for Late July / Early August if the case was not opened yet.
