  1. will see if considered allowable, apologies if not but for anyone who missed it, stick to discussing processing times and not the processing times website details or the creator. There were TOS breeches and beyond that not a topic for here ❤️ I'd hate to see this thread locked after we've formed a little processing time cheer squad 🥰 On a related note, my VJ estimate is almost in Nov!
  2. I believe you need to add her to your insurance. I don't think you can claim when someone else is driving your car, ie if she crashes it and only you're insured then i don't think they'll pay out. Pretty sure it's the driver + car that's insured not just the car. Agree with Sarah, best you ask at DMV or look up your insurance to see if it would cover another driver/family or if you need to add them
  3. I assume it's Friday getting filed late. I'm pretty sure they work weekends and file them Monday which is why number has a high number usually
  4. let me know what they say! I have zero idea if I need police certs for countries I am citizens of. I haven't been since 16 but answers seem mixed (I know what official website says but seen numerous people be put in processing for PCC despite not returning to x country after 16)
  5. Redro has already advised this but I would second finding a trustworthy agency to do this for you. There are many as expats are numerous from ZA. The official website says 14-15 days for a PC to be generated so 6months+ seems hella sus. Either way the only way to obtain ZA police cert seems to be via a local or an agency as they will not send it abroad for you. You can get the fingerprints done at a local station to you probably, most places offer it. https://www.saps.gov.za/services/applying_clearence_certificate.php
  6. you can send a cheque or pay into their acc directly according to their website and send the application direct to Pretoria. Dunno how much I trust international mail + ZA mail etc etc and would def rather go via an agency if not able to use family. I believe even if you send direct to Pretoria they will not return it to a foreign address and you must nominate an agency to pick it up or friend/family. Police is probably fine, I've found other documents like birth cert arrive waaaaayyyyy faster when you go via an agency, I always assume inside man or bribe 😂
  7. wasn't their point that they could get it faster but it'd cost $200, which is what you did? Although it says on their website it takes about two weeks from receive to issue
  8. I would never stress over one day, they occasionally have 'quieter' days just like they have far more productive days. The average per day for the week is still the same as usually (240/day)
  9. if they were cleaning up could it be they didn't hear from an RFE in time? May also be they were already denied but not entered in system?? They did bring down the time you had to respond to RFEs. I've seen a looottt of posts about people not meeting the meet in 2yr requirement and thinking they could use COVID as an excuse only to get RFEs and then basically abandon it as they couldn't provide the evidence. Also lots let their case die as they go the spousal route so they could be deemed ineligible due to getting married since applying? Lots is maybe an oversell here, but it's def not infreq posts.
  10. They're still doing old cases, someone here from feb just got approved recently!
  11. If anyone is wondering why they did stats at school, uscis putting it to good use 😂
  12. Go to that link. It'll tell you what the expectation is per document per country. Just find your countries instead of Italy. I can't remember which country but I've helped someone and they weren't expected to get a police cert because it was only available to residents so if you'd moved it was impossible to obtain so US didn't require one. Majority of countries have a way to obtain it from abroad though.
  13. 100% for K1 but you won't be able to apply for AOS (greencard, work authorisation) without 125% which is why people usually quote 125%. others have said but you won't be allowed to work so your income is irrelevent.
  14. they aren't required to work but yeah I'd answer that as her 'work'. Even if she's not earning from it, she's at least doing something. Lots of people who move over are essentially 'housewives' so if employment was an issue there'd be far less approvals... I've never heard of unemployment of beneficiary being a problem. People often misreport their experience.
  15. you don't need to enter Italy to obtain it. Generally US won't expect a police record from a country that requires you enter the country (unless you are a current resident) as they're aware not everyone can just go pick one up or afford to fly somewhere just for a document. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Italy.html Check police records here, it lists instructions on how to obtain police record without being present in Italy
  16. Are they residents of US though? Tourists can use their foreign licences but not residents (in Kansas). All it takes to be a resident there is having a local bank account for instance 💀
  17. If anything like me a lot of internal screaming 😂 Uk is very strict on licences, I can do everything but reverse park so keep failing and covid backlogs so I'm just gonna take lessons and get a license there as it's cheaper/easier. May be worth getting them a couple lessons just to get comfortable?
  18. Google implies you're correct on the 90 days before you need a US licence for Missouri. Can always check directly with dmv/highway patrol Edit: actually the i-95 would give you 3 months anyway
  19. Lol 50/50 chance and i mixed up i-94 and i-95 again....assume yall understood tho
  20. Usually only if you're not a resident but the flexibility may again vary by state. I got in contact with higheay patrol in kansas and I would be a resident so can't and cant apply without EAD. They're very particular. May still try but basically planning to be without until EAD
