  1. Yup. Lots of people don't read the basic reqs. I've seen people go through whole process only to find at end they don't meet financial req so have to drop the app. I think may also be because if you honestly 100% couldn't meet because of covid, which can be the case they'll allow it but most of these cases there was an option, like a third country. They also have option to wait until they can find a way to meet, marry (online) and it's odd to not have seen your partner for 2yrs. I know people have different situations but it is a lil wild we're not even officially engaged yet 🙀
  2. that's been some of the RFEs? I've seen forms giving examples of how to prove relationship and included wedding plans. How you plan a wedding on a visa that takes ??? time?! Also seen a lot of denials cause people haven't met or didn't meet the financial req.
  3. I wouldn't look at a single quarter, engagements and applications will not be uniform, like decembers numbers are 500-700 which will result in a lower quarter than summer for instance. If you average over the year, we have about 900/week which is higher than I thought but also lower than yours. RFEs do seem to be increasing, there used be a lot fewer. I imagine it may be a mix of all the new staff being unsure and also I've seen a lot of people getting them for proving they met in last 2yrs. I think there were quite a few apps who thought COVID travel restrictions meant they could ignore the 2yr rule. RFE seems to be sitting at about 15% on ave right now but is trending upwards.
  4. where did you get the number for 1k? I consistently see about 800 on ave per week
  5. Of course they do. Each worker has a load they work on. I don't know if an RFE goes back to same worker or not but considering an app is apparently assigned 40mins while RFE can be weeks before they hear back, they're not going to do nothing for weeks.
  6. yeah, I'm going to start sorting it now. My NOA2 is currently only going to be around Jan 2024 so got time. I travel to S. Africa frequently so may see if I can get them free (SA is a risk country), if not...I'll start getting them private. Full 3 shots takes ~6months so won't put it off
  7. thanks for info, my assumption was just getting all 3 may be best bet. Pricey but better than getting stuck needing them again in US. Ty
  8. No problem! I'm optimistic we'll start seeing a decrease by summer, we'll def know by spring. At least there's light at the end of the tunnel, even if it's just no more increases/ some decrease. Seeing it go up was very demoralising
  9. I look at the Oct filers etc forum posts here, people usually post a daily summary of how many cases were updated (approved, denied, rfe etc). I also look at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/15hiSOTm85W1CG6c0jzQ8B7lXLo1JEwsWKr3zIszC2Zg/htmlview# but this updates slower and I don't think includes rfes. Which makes sense as an rfe doesn't remove it from the backlog. Your number is going up because it's based on visajourney users timelines averaged over last 30days or something so that's what they're *currently* processing at. For times to go down they need to process over 800 a week, every week. It will also take awhile for an increase in processing to have an effect on our estimates. It's not instant. Also if they're only removing 10-100 out of the backlog every week that's honestly not a lot and won't have a drastic affect on time estimates. It's good news because it means times won't keep going up in the future and will eventually come down but it's not going to happen tomorrow. Their increase in processing is mostly seen by fact the USCIS processing hasn't increased and is unlikely to. It used to go up at least 0.5months every month.
  10. Thanks for this, do you know if you need full hep b coverage? I believe it's 3 for full cover, 2 for 10yrs and 1 for 1yr.
  11. Yes, last week was 700-800 depending if you incl RFE or not. We've also had a few weeks 600-700 before Christmas
  12. Am I reading the aug filers right? They had 80 on Wed?! So are we now at over 300 on JUST wednesday?? (still haven't seen nov numbers and think Jul-Oct has 306 cases processed wed alone). Will caution, Tuesday/Wed always seems to be the peak so thurs and fri may see it slow down but think that's over 400 in two days!!!
  13. Good news! I looked at July, Sept and Oct threads (aug and nov seem to be missing this week) and we got Tues: 80+ Wed: 226+!!!! Someone can double check cause I had a hellish hellish morning so my brain is fried and may have misread things. If I'm right tho we're on track for a high week again, maybe not 800 with monday being a holiday but still 🤩
  14. The bulk should be in October too which I haven't seen numbers for so will be interesting
  15. I would ask in regional forum https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/97-middle-east-and-north-africa/
  16. Yeah saw you usually post earlier in day which is why I was curious. Guess everyone is trying to eagerly access today
  17. Ah seems to be feisty today, really appreciate y'all for doing the work and sharing 🙏
  18. Is anyone posting Tues numbers? Curious if they're still high like last week 🙏
  19. Yeah it's unfortunate, the 2021 filers saw theirs go up 6-8months+. The good news is it appears their processing may be approaching the point that we may start seeing a decrease in processing times. Awaiting results this week to see if trend is still going that way
  20. Always go by current. It's what they're *currently* processing at, so whether it goes up or down in the future, it's still applicable to you. If you add a timeline to your profile, VJ will automatically keep this up to date for you so you don't have to stalk USCIS and count
  21. I assume it's people 'switching' to CR1. Probably lines up with people realising K1 wasn't worth it. Most 2021 people were probably too far in by time spousal was better to see it being worth the switch
  22. Tbh I'm not sure it works like was suggested, a bunch of forms were done but waiting for a superiors sign off. I'd be surprised if there's a large dip again. I just realised I've been eagerly awaiting yesterday's numbers to see if they're still up only to remember it was a holiday 🤦
  23. I'd also be interested in this. I could only find daily trends but quite spread out. It looks like they were excited at 50 applications looked at per day in mid jan last yr (what a time...) Which means they were at about 250/week this time last yr and it looks like they stayed at that/improved so even if there was a jump it wasn't a massive outlier
  24. Their concern is they got a second noa2 in January so there concerned they're now an extra few behind on the nvc queue So their noa2 is dec but also jan so which is accurate??
