  1. I get that. I'm 100% dreading waiting every day and seeing others getting theirs however even with a delay at this point, unless it's an extreme I should have an approval a lot earlier than I expected. When I filed we were looking at 22-24months until they got to oct 2022 filers, now it's 10-12 months so even if I wait an extra 6 months, it'll still be 4-6months sooner than best case at filling. I know I'm going to lose it with stress and upset when my time comes unless I'm lucky but I'm trying to be grateful for it being sub 2yrs 🙏 I think early 2022 filers (and before) expected about this or better at filling so it's maybe not really an improvement, esp if they're in the last 20%
  2. When we were just wondering if we'd hit 4500 not long ago
  3. Yeah we're going to do a ceremony of essentially a small elopement to get everything signed and start AOS ASAP then have a reception etc prob 2nd Oct with family. My family needs warning for flights etc anyway. I also realised I would quite like a day just him and I rather than having to worry about an event and guests etc. Does mean we're going to have to work out what date we want as an anni after we have visa though 😂
  4. I originally wanted to get married on our anni, 2nd oct 2024 and was so stressed it wouldn't happen and I'd end up with a winter wedding cause yeah fall 2024 was absolute earliest, now it's like....oct 2nd is too late 😂
  5. Looking at it, they had more done in the first week of May than they did in *all* of May last year. Damn what an improvement 😍
  6. Remember people thinking Jan was a fluke and we wouldn't see such increases, now look at us 🎉 Hoping this means swifter approvals for those waiting in months already processed
  7. You'll obv have to check but you may be okay?? When i moved from outta EU into, they would charge customs on anything 'new' but if it's a personal item that you've owned for awhile it's usually not subject to customs.
  8. Insure them on shipping or try and and take over on visits but then hold luggage is.. yh no. We've shipped internationally 4x with zero issues. You can also ship via like UPS tracked or something to be extra safe Good luck!
  9. My rent is 900 because I had to find a place while rent market was chaos 😭 I also have a lot of stuff to sort and I'm a procrastinator. I'll prob not do it until I have a flight booked because I'm terrible. I've also moved 16x+ so I just avoid packing as much as possible. Dreading it
  10. Careful, you cannot do ANY paid work in US on k1 until you have gc or ead. Even if paid for and hired in another country and working remotely so I'd advise you cut ties before you move. My company has home work but due to above and fact I work for a defense company I'm generally needed on site to access data (it's not allowed off site). Not sure they'd be happy if I took any work with me while immigrating either even if US is an ally 😂 Honestly I could probably wrap up pretty quick and take leave etc but my apartment requires 3 months notice and I'll probably use the time to pack and see family etc. We'll see how I feel when the time comes. I wouldn't be able to afford a last minute flight anyway 💀
  11. Yeah I'm hoping for visa in hand around xmas/new year but I have an appt and job that will take a few months to close down so I'll probably need 3 months after i have a visa before i travel. If i end up left behind and wait longer than expected for visa I may try and speed it to a month to leave after visa but yeah 😂 I wasn't expecting to have to potentially leave this job before summer 2024 so may get a little messy on my projects
  12. 24th oct. Yeah I'm hoping to have at least an interview booked by Christmas and maybe move late spring 😍 Think only a few months ago I wasn't even sure if I'd be there by end summer 2024
  13. Still a day to go but unless it's a shocker, what a week 😍
  14. oh sorry at top of spreadsheet it says (in months).
  15. Yup, also some may depend on country of origin or just be out of date? It's basically standard immigration vaccinations. Had the same for NZ. The chickenpox one is yh basically irrelevant unless you never got it. It's also not offered in UK so may even be skipable. I was able to get tetnus one free at a travel clinic here as I travel to a country it's a bigger risk but it's generally a pretty 'cheap' vaccine. General note, if anyone has missing records, it's generally cheaper to just get the vaccine than test immunity. There's no harm to obtaining a vaccine a second time.
  16. I'm unsure if you need two MMR shots as I found I was missing one but decided to get my missing one anyway as it was free. Hep-b is 3 course treatment which takes 6months unless you get an accelerated course but they'll accept just one for immigration if you get it at the medical. I had one when I immigrated from ZA to NZ. I'm now going for shot 2 and 3 just to be done with it.
  17. Someone sent me their req when they went through K1 and so far it's been accurate.
  18. Yeah it's pretty quick to schedule here but more an issue of having to travel twice or book super close together if possible. Either way it's leave from work, travel and accommodation 😭
  19. Also reminder vaccines are actually only needed for AOS but it's useful to get it now so you don't have to redo a medical in US
  20. I know! I could get a 20min bus if they'd just interview me here 😭 Arranging a medical as well is just ..urgh.
  21. Yeah i have one in my city but the one handling k1 is a flight away or 6hr train 😭
