    Hello! Does the Sept 30 deadline for DV visa issuance apply for derivatives as well? I am a spouse of a DV Lottery winner. My husband and our daughter have received their visas in November 2022 but I was put on Admin Processing and I still don't have my visa. US Embassy in Montreal have requested for a new medical exam and my passport in April 2023 but I'm still waiting... Is it safe to expect my visa or at least a decision by Sept 30, 2023? Or that deadline is only for the principal applicants? Thank you!

    Hello! Does anyone know why all of a sudden my Immigrant Visa Case number is showing up as invalid in the CEAC website? I checked it yesterday around 4PM and was able to access it and then checked after a couple of hours and all of a sudden, it's invalid.... I have a DV application... Thank you!!

    Hi there! Montreal asked for my passport and new medical on March 31. Got it to them April 13. And still no visa.... Anyone else had a similar situation? I am on DV2023.

    That's what we thought would happen but US consulate Montreal emailed me saying we must be in Canada for them to return passports.... But thank you for your insights!

    Yes. We live with my parents in Canada. The plan was to continue the processing of the visa that's why we sent our passports while in Europe. We had to come here for my husband's family and we will be here for at least a couple of months....

    So looks like I made the biggest mistake of my life and sent my passport to the US Consulate in Montreal while I am not in Canada... Has anyone done this before?? Have they actually sent the passport back at least to a Canadian address? Because I won't be able to come back to Canada without my passport.... Help please!

    Hi. Unfortunately my 1 year old child's immigrant visa expired last week. Because I'm still waiting for my visa, I could not cross the border with her. Anyone has similar experience? Or that's it for our immigration? Thanks!

    I'm waiting for my passport with visa already. They asked for my passport back and a new medical exam at the beginning of April. I sent them my passport and medical exam on April 13. But still no passport on the way. They've been updating my account almost every day now. Hoping that's a good sign.

    Thank you both so much! Not sure if it's concerning but they received my passport April 13 and my new medical April 12. And they keep "updating" CEAC but still showing refused and no sign of the passport being returned to me...

    Hi - most likely this has been answered but with the amount of responses here I'm hoping someone could help me. How long does it take for the embassy to issue the visa after they ask for your passport and new medical exam? Thank you and if it cannot be answered, it's okay too!

    Does anyone have experience of the ceac visa status showing as Refused but you're actually approved? Got an email today that my passport is being returned to me and yet when I checked ceac it's showing refused.... Just being anxious here. Thank you!

    Thanks for responding! Wow, I thought it would be faster. But it should be coming from Montreal right? I'm not sure if they send out the passport and application to process the DS5535...
